The Pelican Grand Beach Resort

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is a Four Diamond Resort, and one of only 2 hotels located directly on the sand in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The oceanfront resort is situated on 500 feet of sandy beach, perfect for tanning and swimming.

The property is one of only two resort/hotels in Fort Lauderdale located directly on the ocean, as almost all other hotels/resorts are located across A1A and require a walk across this busy highway to access the beach.

The Pelican Grand Beach Resort is the only hotel in South Florida with the Lazy River, where you can relax and entertain the entire family! It is six miles from Port Everglades and seven miles from Fort Lauderdale International Airport.

This 7th Floor Unit (#702) features:

Guests have the option of daily cleaning and fresh towel service at $35 per request, a fee that is paid directly to the front desk. For a group larger than four (4) people, we recommend you arrange for towel service at the front desk upon checking in.

The one-time mandatory cleaning fee of $35 that we charge covers the cleaning of the room following your check-out. In addition, an 11% occupancy tax on the total price of your stay is collected when your reservation is finalized.

Valet Parking is priced at $28 per day and is collected by the front desk. Valet parking is only required if you want to park on premises.

Michigan native, avid golfer and dedicated family man, this owner has found Fort Lauderdale and the Pelican Beach Hotel to be his perfect getaway having the right combination of relaxation, fishing, golfing, and family time.

Room was great, resort overall is incredible, beach is beautiful, view is breathtaking and the pool/lazy river is relaxing and allows enough room for all to enjoy. Can't wait to return in October.

Only drawback is that there is no additional food or shopping within walking distance which means that car is convenient however the parking charge of $28 each overnight is a bit excessive in my opinion. Also be aware that a hold charge of $75 per day will be placed on a credit card upon check-in for "incidentals". The guest is not made aware of this unless the guest specifically asks. If a debit card is used, this can tie up available cash that isn't refunded until 4 days post checkout.

This is far from a traditional 1 bedroom condo

I thought I was renting a 1 bedroom condo and instead got a large hotel room with a microwave oven and dorm size refrigerator. It was a nice hotel room but I thought I was renting something else. That being said, all ammenities of the hotel were very good and the staff was wonderful.

know the cost before you go

We had a great vacation, because we knew the additional cost before we went, so there were no surprises. $28.00 a day parking, $35.00 cleaning fee (we did this once at the end) and $15.00 towel restock. There wasn't enough towels so instead of paying $15. we went to wal mart and got 3 towels for $12.00 and took them home. Beach and pool towels were supplied by the hotel for free but turned in when you leave the beach or pool. Don't go snorkeling in Ft Lauderdale area the water just isn't good snorkling water too green. If you want good snorkling water bo to the keys or Bahammas. WE really injoyed Jungle Queen, Water Taxi, shopping on las olas blvd, and the sawgrass mills mall was huge. The hotels back porch, ice cream shop, lazy river, and frendly helpful staff made our vacation great

Beautiful ~ Already planning another trip!

Just came back this morning from the weekend at the Pelican Grand. The owner is so easy to work with, patient with any questions and accommodating. We had an easy check-in, the room was even better than expected and the staff was awesome! My husband and I went for a "Recharge" weekend and it was perfect. The pool, lazy river and amenities were great and the balcony and views were amazing. Thank you SO much for sharing your unit with us. We will be back in November. Can't wait!!!
