This beautiful, historic farmhouse, originally constructed in the 1830s, sits on over 100 acres, and is surrounded by national forest and conservation land. Recent renovations tastefully provide modern convenience, while preserving the home's 19th century charm.
Perfect for family gatherings, this home includes a formal dining room, a formal parlor, a large eat-in kitchen, a screened porch overlooking our gorgeous field, and a cozy living room with a large wood-burning fireplace.
Two bedrooms contain a single queen-sized bed, and one bedroom contains four twin beds. There is also a single futon in a small sewing room and a pull-out couch in the parlor.
Several maintained hiking trails originate from the property, and Chocorua Lake (located approximately one mile away) provides visitors with opportunities for swimming, non-motorized boating, and fishing. Wildlife spotted on our property includes bears, moose, wild turkeys, porcupine, herons, and numerous hummingbirds.
Outlet shopping, miniature golf, a high ropes and zipline park, restaurants, movie theaters and live entertainment are all available nearby.
Additional photos available upon request.
Our family includes a former state supreme court justice, a Unitarian minister, an internal medicine doctor, an artist, and two very young girls.
The home was purchased as a summer home by the Great-Aunt of our eldest living family member in the late 1800s. It has remained a family treasure ever since.
We particularly enjoy hiking, swimming in Chocorua Lake, picking blueberries in the field, feeding the hummingbirds, dining on our screened porch, and playing board games by the fire.
