Set in 2 acres amongst the vineyards, farmland and countryside of the Anjou wine region, but only 8 miles from supermarkets and towns. 1 bedroom self-catering cottage gite (optional 2nd bedroom in the Farmhouse for party of 3 or 4) has open plan kitchen/lounge with satellite TV; dvd player; gas cooker/electric oven; large upright fridge-freezer; microwave. dishwasher; double-sink; washing machine. Downstairs shower/wc.whb room. private garden and BBQ; raised balcony with uninterrupted views over the Anjou countryside. Upstairs bedroom has double and single beds. Our FARMHOUSE B&B has 2 upstairs en-suite bedrooms, air-conditioning in summer and zip-link super king-size beds for choice of extra-large double or twins.Cotton bed linen supplied. Bedroom in Cottage can be used as 3rd B&B. ALL GUESTS have shared use of Heated pool and Tennis Court, Indoor games room with table tennis, darts etc. Indoor and outdoor games equipment supplied. Situated on the Maine et Loire and Poitou-Charentes border (dept. Deux Sevres), we are between the medieval cheateau town of Montreuil-Bellay (8 miles), the modern town of Doue la Fontaine (7 miles) and the busy town of Thouars (10 miles). All have weekly markets. From our gite in the countryside, you can visit many of the famous chateaux of the Loire valley with their stunning architecture and gardens such as Villandry, Azay le Rideau, Saumur, Angers, Chenonceaux and many others. Doue la Fontaine is famous for its roses and conversation zoo. Saumur has many sparkling wine houses and you can also visit The National Riding school. Futuroscope and the Puy du Fou (entertainment for all but the very young) are both only an hour away. The beaches of the Vendee and La Rochelle can be reached in 2 hours. Visit the fetes organised by the local villages. Wine-taste the delicious Anjou wines with our local viticulturist who speaks English. Enjoy and observe the abundant bird life.

    FARMHOUSE B&B en-suite and with tea/coffee making facilities is £45/65 euros per night Minimum 2 nights including use of heated pool, tennis court and all other on site facilities.

There is a bath in the laundry room in the Farmhouse which can be used by anyone on request.

FOR A GROUP OF 3 or 4 ALL WANTING TO SELF-CATER IN THE COTTAGE, one of the en-suite bedrooms in the adjacent Farmhouse is available if not already booked for B&B. The 2 upstairs bedrooms in the FARMHOUSE for B&B or 1 being used as 2nd bedroom for group renting the Cottage, have zip-link super-king double (6'wide x 6'6'long) or can be twin singles. They also have air-conditioning units in summer. Cotton linen and XL shower towels for adults are automatically supplied. Showers - water pressure very strong.

Notes: Smoking inside the house is not allowed nor outside close to other guests or the owners. House towels provided - please provide your own pool towels plus towels to cover the pool loungers although we are happy to provide these for anyone 'flying' in. Also they can be hired. We will provide XL shower towels for adults. Air-conditioning in the 2 farmhouse B&B upstairs bedrooms only. Floor standing fan supplied for the Cottage gite as well as in all bedrooms. We will let you access your emails from our computer, by request and let you use our telephone in an emergency. The heated outdoor swimming pool and tennis court and all other facilities are shared with the Cottage gite guests and any Farmhouse guests and the owners. We try to keep B&B and the Cottage adults only, but will always consider requests to bring children or babies. If we have accepted any children, we will always advise anyone else booking. Dinner very often available by request in advance for all guests.

We have several golf courses around us from half an hour to one hour away who all welcome visitors and many a little further away. We are happy to do your bookings for you but this can usually only be done one week in advance. We are happy to provide early morning breakfasts for B&Bers including cooked breakfasts. We are happy to provide picnic lunches. We are happy to provide evening dinner with wine. We are happy to provide you with further details re. course locations, fees etc. by request.
