I was fortunate to grow up spending summers in Indian Neck. As a child I would spend my days swimming and playing in the sand at the beach. Building sand castles with my mom is one of my fondest memories. There was always more to do than I could fit in a day.
Walking, kayaking, sun bathing and swimming just to name a few. Waking up in the morning and having breakfast while watching the sun rise over the water. Falling asleep listening to the water hit against the rocks.
We were completely pleased with our stay. We wanted a place to celebrate the Christmas holiday near my elderly mom, with family members coming to stay together in the house. So we needed a place that would be special even when staying indoors a lot! It indeed was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, very clean, and we really enjoyed the colonial theme. And lovely to walk on the beach, cold though it was. The owners were very gracious and friendly.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful spot! We spent warm, sunny lazy days along with kayaking, biking, swimming and exploring. Having never been to Branford we enjoyed all that this very quaint New England town has to offer! Wonderful boutiques, fabulous dining and larger stores for the little things that you forgot. The beach was soft and sandy with a marked swimming area (a brand new float for you to "dock on"). Breezy eveings with floor to ceiling windows facing the water ended our days. The "chef's" kitchen had it all and we enjoyed the offerings at the local fish market. The dining is fit for a Thanksgiving feast. Thank you and we will be back!
My husband and I rented this property for a week the end of May into June. The owners are very considerate and concerned with our comfort and needs. They were a pleasure to deal with and glad we met them. The house left me speechless. The photos do not do it justice. It is like brand new with the most up to date ammenities. Every room is decorated tastefully and the rooms are large and airy. Not that I want to cook on a vacation but I was eager to prepare a seafood (fresh seafood market around the corner) feast in such a well equipped kitchen. What a pleasure. We then sat on the porch looking out over the water and enjoyed our feast in quiet relaxation. It was alittle too cold to swim or kayak at that time but Branford is a quaint town to visit. We were happy to not leave this private resort except to walk to the beach and daydream. I have one bad and it is our time there was too short. We will definitely be back but probably later in the season and for longer. Well worth the money.
