My husband and I re-met after 43 years! I'm a mom of four who works as a nurse and flipped houses on the side and he spent most of his career in real estate...selling houses, working in relocation and owning his own company. In 2006 we opened a bed and breakfast near Sturbridge, MA in our home that was built in 1765. When we're not working, we love to walk our property, garden, play with our two dogs and continue to renovate 'This Old House!'
Seacrest Rd is my 2nd beach property. I initially bought a seasonal cottage one mile away that badly needed to be fixed. I spent 3 years renovating that with the goal to sell it and find a year round home that we could retire to.
I grew up nearby and spent many wonderful days at all the CT beaches.....but Old Saybrook remains my all time favorite!
There is a wonderful path and sidewalk that runs along the beach in front of our home. You can walk all the way to Saybrook Point and view both Lighthouses and the famous Cornfield Point Castle. My favorite thing to do early in the morning is to have my coffee on one of the ocean front benches then walk along the beach to find that one special piece of beach glass. And the sunsets can't be beat!
