Luxurious, cozy, comfy nest perfect for singles or couples. It has more privacy than you can imagine. It is located at the south end of our property and even has its own road! The furnishings are high quality and very comfortable. The kitchen is complete with all new stainless appliances. This is a great choice for hikers and bikers, or front porch sitters!

Christine purchased this bungalow in 2011
We did not purchase this home as a vacation rental. We purchased this property as our dream. We remodeled the guesthouse first and lived in it for several months while we were remodeling the main house. It turned out so great that we decided to share it! The porch is a great place to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails. It's a great location for hikers, bikers, horseback riders, golfers or those who just want to get away and do nothing!
This property is so peaceful and private. The front porch is our favorite spot. We see all kinds of wildlife including deer, javalinas, bobcats, roadrunners, quail, coyotes....The sights and sounds of the desert are outstanding! There is a light ordinance in Cave Creek, so the night sky is brilliant! I can't stress how private it is. You won't be bothered by people or traffic. We respect your privacy and will probably only see you at check in and check out.
Recently stayed here the end of February. Both the description and pictures accurately represented the accommodations and amenities available. Everything was scrupulously clean and tastefully decorated.Very cozy. The King sized bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed the privacy and quiet especially to be able to enjoy the stars at night with a crackling fire in the outdoor chimnea, while listening to the sounds of coyotes singing to the moon in the distance or the owls softly hooting. We enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch watching the sunrise while being serenaded by the songs of the morning birds. Caught glimpses of the covey of resident quails and an occasional coyote scoping the nearby wash for the jackrabbits hiding in the Mesquite. Nearby are several moderate hiking trails at the Spur Creek Ranch. They even have guided walks with rangers available. You are not far from the town, Cave Creek or Carefree for quaint shops and eateries. While in Cave Creek, stop by Oaks Diner for their hearty breakfasts of omelets and pancakes. Check out the Lazy Lizard Consignment if you enjoy hunting for furniture or antiques. Like history, stop by Cave Creek Museum on the corner of Basin & Skyline. They even have a little pathway in front that labels much of the local cacti and vegetation. The Horny Toad Restaurant serves great fried chicken. Need maps and more info. on the area go to the Chamber of Commerce in Cave Creek. Very friendly and helpful. Every Friday 9am- 1pm at the Sundial Monument hosts the Farmers Market. Homemade, Homegrown as well as organic fish, beef and lamb selections are available.Stop by Ortega's for the best service, prices and quality on jewelery. Feel like a cup of Tea? Go to The English Rose Tea Room on 201 Easy Street for an exquisite English cuisine in a truly authentic Victorian atmosphere.
The location of this VRBO is centrally located if you wish to make several day trips to Sedona, Flagstaff, Phoenix and Scotsdale. We wanted to experience True Arizona without the typical Resort, touristy atmosphere. We wanted quiet and serenity but also to be close to a variety of hiking, exploring, shopping and dining out experiences. We were not disappointed. This was the absolute perfect place for all this. We left with a lot of places yet to be explored and experienced. We didn't want to leave..
My husband, dog and I spent a wonderful, relaxing week in this charming desert property. Perfect for a couple with or without pet. We appreciated the desert view from the porch and the quiet. Every evening we sat on porch listening to birds and watching the sunset. Christine and Malcolm were very helpful in getting us settled and then gave us complete privacy. The house is very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Listing description was very accurate.
We enjoyed the area with its restaurants, coffee shops, and wonderful hiking just a few miles away. We loved hiking at the Spur Cross Recreation Center and then eating lunch on the patio at Janey's.
We will stay here again when we get the chance and would recommend it highly to a friend or relative.
Highly Recommended! I loved my stay here with my cat and hated to leave. She loved watching all of the wildlife. It was a very special time for us. Plenty of privacy and the owners were so nice and very helpful. It was clean and beautiful. We had a wonderful time staying in this adorable place.
Cute, fun place. We really enjoyed staying here. We particularly enjoyed the outside, covered sitting area with nice view of Black Mountain, and also watching wildlife. Enjoyed hikes right from property. Owners were super nice and helpful. Place was clean, well maintained, and had all needed items for a comfortable stay. Close to Cave Creek with great restaurants, hiking, biking, and sightseeing activities. We'd unhesitatingly recommend this neat, little "hideaway" place.
Horseback riding and events, art shows and events, hiking, biking, shopping, live music, dancing, live bull riding, golf and relaxing.
