Apartment 1Sky Blue

Wir verbrachten 12 Tage bei Josanne und Paul im Sky Blue Appartement . Anfang Juni 2011 gab es perfekte Temperaturen, wo man es ohne AC bzw. Heizung sehr gut aushalten konnte. Das Appartement ist ausreichend groß für 2 Personen, es ist alles da, was man braucht um sich selbst zu verpflegen. Wir haben trotzdem draußen unser Abendessen genossen.
Das Willkommenspaket mit Toastbrot, verschiedenen Belägen, Wein, Chips, Milch, Zucker, Kaffee.... war super!
2 Katzen, einen tollen Hunde, Schildkröten und viele Kois findet man auf dem wunderschönen Grundstück mit vielen Liegemöglichkeiten um einem Pool.

Da die Wohnung im Kellergeschoß ist, hat man im Bad und im Schlafzimmer nur kleine Fenster . Daher ist es etwas dunkel in den Räumen und man macht tagsüber auch Licht an.
Da das Haus ca. 1km entfernt von der nächsten Bushaltestelle liegt, ist ein Mietwagen zu empfehlen.
Josanne und Paul sind außerordentlich nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, und wir haben viele Tipps bekommen über Land und Leute und wir haben die informativen Gespräche mit den Beiden sehr genossen.. Alles in allem eine empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die sehr gut geeignet war, um die ganze Insel Tag für Tag ein wenig mehr zu erkunden.

Es war eine sehr gute Entscheidung dieses Haus zu wählen.

after our last stay in your lovely apartment ,the sands in st julians we did not think it would be possible to top that.but yet again you have surpassed our expectations with your blue apartment ,this apartment has it all,it is so spacious and well equipped we even managed to cook a three course meal for 6 in it , hoped you enjoyed our cooking lol.we loved lazing around the beautiful pool and your fantastic gardens. we would like to thank you both for being such wonderful hosts and making our stay with you such a unique experience . to say we enjoyed our stay in malta with you guys would be a understatement .
even looking around your other apartments has made us think about booking again with you for a bit latter in the year , so that means you be seeing a lot more of us in the future , hope you can cope :) .we cant wait for our next visit ,we have told and shown the photos to all of our friends about your fantastic holiday hideaway . a true gem of beautiful malta . once again thank you thank you , see you soon . the simpsons x ps say hi to toby,he's such a great dog xx

The first positive was positive communications prior to arrival and then collection from the airport. Paul immediately made me feel welcome and shared anecdotal information about the area we passed through going out of his way to take me to the local villages en route pointing out the location of fiestas.
Area - Location of the villa is within the village of Madliena which is an ideal location managing to be semi rural, accessible and convenient and importantly – quiet! It is an easy 20 minute walk downhill to the bus stop where you can catch a ‘rustic’ bus into Sliema. From Sliema you can go on to many other locations, highly recommended are the open top bus tours to either the North or South of the island.
The apartment (Sky Blue) is very comfortable; clean, well maintained and equipped with everything you would need to enjoy a short break or a month long stay. Also the welcome basket is extensive compared to other villas I have rented and includes everything you would need for your first evening and more. Josanne has gone to great efforts to ensure there are many brochures in the apartments so you can gather ideas of where to go and what to do and both Paul and Josanne give great advice. The gardens are beautiful, the villa is relatively quiet apart from the bubbling of the Koi carp pond and the rare sighting of other guests. Evenings are well spent sitting outside in the peace watching the sunset or if you are more social, around the well equipped barbecue area.

Overall, the time I spent with my hosts the Camilieris’ was incredible - their hospitality is extensive yet not intrusive, generous and very memorable, nothing was too much trouble. This extended to accompanying Paul and Josanne on walks and them taking great pains to make sure I got to my appointments on time. I have stayed at villas and hotels in many parts of the world both with my family and as a solo traveller yet nowhere have I experienced hospitality like this.
This was my second trip to Malta and one borne of necessity – a marathon round of dental treatment including jaw surgery in Sliema. I did not want to repeat the experience of a so called first class hotel and therefore arranged accommodations myself and I am very pleased I did. Yes I would recommend and yes I would return.
