Outside: The house has a private pool and spa to the rear with lake and golf course views. The spa is heated automatically and the pool can be heated provided the renter pays for the additional electricity costs incurred. The pool is equipped with casual chairs and loungers. Eating outside is common throughout the year and the lanai has a dining table seating 6 people with a gas-fired barbecue. The house is in the gated community of Crown Colony, is not overlooked and the neighbourhood is safe and tranquil. It is very suitable and safe for children.

Beaches : The house is 7 miles from beautiful Fort Myers Beach with its 7 miles of pink sand and every kind of watersport activities. The beach boasts extensive dunes and sea grasses and excellent safe swimming. For most of its length it is quiet and uncrowded with typical beachside restaurants and facilities around the pier. Also the house is just 12 miles from Sanibel Island, world-famous for its beaches, shells, restaurants and wildlife park and 21 miles from beautiful Captiva Island, with its beaches, ocean-side golf course and sailing. An excellent day's excursion is to rent a boat and explore the many uninhabited islands around the Pine Island Sound. For more adventurous days the Key West ferry runs daily from Fort Myers Beach and provides a relaxing way to travel to the interesting areas around the Keys. Driving south will take you to Naples and the Everglades.

Travel and distances: 11 miles from Fort Myers International Airport, with connecting flights to all main centres; 160 miles (2 1/2 hour drive along I75) from Tampa International Airport with direct non-stop flights from London and major continental airports and about the same distance from Miami International Airport. Orlando International Airport is a comfortable 3-4 hour drive. Crown Colony is 400 yards from local shops, including a major supermarket, pharmacies, banks, restaurants and other services and 600 yards from the Lee Memorial Health Park with 3 major hospitals. Just a short 15 minutes drive away are numerous cinemas and restaurants, the Edison Ford Home and Gardens, the Edison and Bell Tower Shopping Malls, with concerts and theatre at the Barbara Mann Arts Center. Further afield are the Designer Shopping Outlet stores at Sanibel and Miromar (about 30 minutes). Naples is an hour's drive and has world-class shopping and dining.

Golf: Crown Colony Golf & Country Club is a beautifully maintained 7013 yard 18-hole golf course designed by Ron Garl, with a fine clubhouse with extensive facilities featuring lighted tennis courts, well equipped fitness centre and expansive pool. The championship layout features 5 sets of teeboxes for the enjoyment of golfers of all skill levels.The course is challenging, with water hazards on most holes and is scenically beautiful with many tropical birds and other wildlife. The clubhouse is a short walk away from the house and features formal and casual dining, casual grille, bar and well-stocked pro shop. Temporary membership of the Golf and Country Club is available for all guests who lease the villa,allowing unlimited golf on the award winning course. The Club charges a one-time fee of $200 to transfer the membership. The Club also has reciprocal facilities with 35 golf clubs in the Fort Myers/Naples area.
