Perfect Condo at Premier Puerto Cana Location

As a preliminary note, this was our first time using Homeaway.com to rent a vacation home. Naturally, we were concerned about general issues of site legitimacy, payment terms, etc. This condo does not accept credit card payments as of the date of this review. We enrolled in the Homeaway.com assurance program before wiring money. The service is free. However, the owner of this condo was professional, cooperative, and responsive. She confirmed receipt of our funds and delivered the unit as promised. She even arranged to supply a crib for our infant. We would feel secure repeating the transaction with her through homeaway.com again.
The condo is not oversold, but is actually better than described online. It is new, well decorated, spacious, and is generally built and finished to very high standards. The same can be said of the entire Cap Cana development.
The support staff is exceptionally attentive, in an unobtrusive fashion. The pools are wonderful. We had a spectacular dinner at Mitre, which is one of several restaurants that are within a short walk of the condo. (Mitre can be accessed by walking along the beach from the condo.)
Many of the other condos offered on this site market "penthouse" status. That means taking the stairs or the elevator every time you wish to access the pool or beach or restaurants. In contrast, this condo has a very large private / covered patio with comfortable couches, two dining tables, and lounge chairs. From the patio, you have direct access across a small, grassy lawn to the pool. From there, it's just steps to the beach, or a nice walk to the other facilities. Sitting on the patio (or in the living room, dining area, kitchen, and master bedroom), you have a stunning view through the coconut trees to the pool and the beach. It is unsurpassed in terms access to the water.
We rented a car. Parking is provided. The grocery store in Veron is unimpressive, but the staff can direct you to a larger one about 20 minutes from Cap Cana. We drove through some of the other lodging options that had been considered before our trip (Melia Tropico, Punta Cana Hotel, and some others). None of them come close to matching the quality of Cap Cana or this condo, but it was interesting to see the Ojos Indigenas at Punta Cana.
My wife told me how much she liked this condo and Cap Cana everyday of our trip.
