Seattle Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)
The Nest in the Heart of the City is a sweet little apartment located on the cusp of downtown, Capitol Hill, and First Hill. Up on the eleventh floor, It looks westward over the city, and down on the convention center. Nestled at the top of the trees, the afternoon light fills it with a bright warmth as the sun traverses the sky.
The building was built in 1947, and the apartment has recently undergone a green 'eco' remodel. The original oak parquet floors were refurbished, and the wood trim is all recycled old growth Douglas fir that was lovingly sanded down. Both were refinished with all-natural Tung oil. The paint has no VOCs (volatile organic compounds), and compliments the newly tiled kitchen and bathroom. The total effect is stunning.
The Nest is the perfect place for anyone who craves a healthy, green living environment. No chemicals are used during cleaning, and there are plants all around. Rest assured that you can breathe easily if you are chemically sensitive or just desire a healthy place to lay your head.
Just steps from the Washington State Convention Center and a few blocks from the heart of downtown, the Nest is situated near Seattle's many cultural amenities. Just a stroll away, you will find The Paramount Theater, Act Theater, Town Hall, and countless cafes and eateries. Enjoy the Capitol Hill nightlife and all that Broadway has to offer. Even without a car, every part of the city and metropolitan area is easily accessible. Link Light Rail is a couple of blocks away, as is the extensive Metro bus lines. The apartment comes with a parking spot, so no need to worry about downtown parking, but once you arrive, you can leave it there for the duration of your stay!
All of the comforts of home are here to make your stay relaxing - and even romantic! After a soak in the beautifully tiled tub, step out onto the warm, heated tile floor. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, which can separate into two twins if desired. There is a memory foam topper that makes the line between the mattresses disappear, so it is quite comfortable. Gaze out across the city to Lake Union from the bed, and you might never want to get up! The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, and visitors love the opening in the wall that connects the living space with the bedroom. The opening allows for panoramic views of the city and trees; pull the curtains shut to create privacy if desired. All the cozy beds have soft sheets with high thread-counts, and luxurious down comforters.
Come stay for pleasure or business. Either way, you will be equipped with a lovely antique desk, wireless internet service, cable TV, and a brand new 40' flat screen HDTV.
Be one of the first to stay at The Nest, and experience its natural beauty and exquisite location... in the heart of the city! I look forward to hosting you soon...

My name is Suzanne, and I am a Sign Language Interpreter, Massage Therapist, adventurer, traveler, and people lover. I run two vacation rentals, one on Vashon Island (ask me about it!), and one here in the heart of Seattle. I am originally from New York, but was drawn to the beauty of the Northwest, with its mountains, water, and wilderness. I hope to share a piece of all that I love here with travelers from far and near. Looking forward to meeting you!
Suzanne purchased this apartment in 2011
Why Suzanne chose Seattle
I chose this apartment to be my 'pied a terre', or city home because I live on Vashon, but work in Seattle, so I wanted to have a place I could stay and live during the work week. The location for this condo was ideal, being next to downtown, near Capitol Hill, theaters restaurants, and the Convention Center.
What makes this apartment unique
I love being so near to the heart of the city, especially if I've been in my rural Vashon home for a stretch. I like being able to walk everywhere; go to movies, out to eat, shopping, etc, and never get in a car. I love the view from my perch, especially that I can look down and see trees and greenery planted on the convention center, as well as buildings of the city scape in the further distance, and the peek of Lake Union from the master bedroom. What a treat!
