Welcome to Sunset View, a unique oceanfront luxury rental in Long Beach!

Sunset View has almost 1700 sq. ft. of living space and is a wonderful location for special gatherings or a beach getaway. The furnishings are simple and comfortable, with colorful comforters and other accents and artwork. There is one bedroom on the first floor with 2 twin beds, TV and DVD and its own full bath. The garage also doubles as a game room, with a ping pong table, tables and chairs and an entertainment center with a 32” TV and DVD player. The main level has the living room, kitchen and half bath. The living room has a 47” LCD TV with a Blue Ray/DVD player, and there’s an electric keyboard in the dining area. The dining table is large and seats up to 6 people. The kitchen is spacious and bright with all appliances includes a side-by-side fridge and wine cooler. There’s also a guest pantry with small appliances and room for locking up your adult beverages and other vacation indulgences. The owner has taken particular care to provide unique items like a Cuisinart and a specialty one-cup coffee machine. Sunset View offers wireless internet and an HP Photosmart printer too on the breakfast bar in the kitchen. The deck just off the living room is a great place to relax and watch the waves. The upper level has the master bedroom with a king bed and a second guest room with 2 twin beds, plus a full bath in the hall. The roomy master bedroom has a private balcony overlooking the dunes and the beach and a 32” TV with Blue-Ray/DVD.

One pet is welcome at Sunset View; please keep your pet on-leash when at the house. There’s also dog bowls and a 4 ft. high dog pen for your use. For your comfort, no smoking is allowed. Up to 6 people are welcome to stay at Sunset View.

Enjoy the laid back lifestyle of Long Beach and the Peninsula! Sunset View is near the beach and the Discovery Trail -- an easy walk to beach activities or downtown. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. There’s miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides are just a few blocks away. The Bolstad beach approach nearby is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and, of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve. Sunset View has easy access to the beach and the Discovery Trail too.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon. On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.

AMAZING!!

This is our first rental at Long Beach - well first rental ever - myself, husband, mom, daughter, and son. I am surprisingly amazed at how FABULOUS this rental is! The pictures really really don't do it justice. The location - you seriously cannot get any better than this. A VERY short walk to the beach, trails upon trails to walk on along as well as a paved trail to ride bikes on. A few blocks from the middle of town - a very easy walk. Everything you could possibly want is here! Games, laundry facility, flat screens in almost every room and DVD players, books, plenty of extra bedding, upgraded towels, blow dryer, sand toys, and the most fabulously stocked kitchen EVER!!!

We arrived the day after the first fall storm of the year - the pre-Thanksgiving Day storm of 2012. It is still quite stormy out - but we love it! Watching the storms roll in and the extreme winds are amazing. I searched the internet for weeks trying to find a nice place with a spacious kitchen yet affordable for our Thanksgiving holiday. We are having the best time!

We will be back this summer and we cannot wait!
