Whether you gaze at the stars at night from our hot tub on the patio or just sit there and enjoy a glass of wine after a long day hiking or viisting our nations Capitol you will appreciate the solitude and privacy of our property. In the morning sit out on the patio and watch the hummingbirds (in season) flying all around where you sit as they eat their nectar from their feeders.

My husband Bob was born in Serbia and moved to Canada as a young adult , that is where he met me (Lee) and we married. We moved to the USA 28 years ago and lived in Annapolis, MD.
The Owner purchased this house in 1996
We have very dear friends that live here in Little Washington and we would visit and stay with them on weekends. We fell in love with the area and decided to buy a weekend home, We bought the weekend home and the rest is history we decided to sell our Annapolis home and made this our home.
You will feel at home when you are here. It is very relaxing. The area is very quiet and peaceful.
This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a backwoods country "get away from the city" experience. The house is in great condition and I have yet to come across a more fully stocked kitchen. Our hosts were fabulous and did not complain when we got locked out and had to knock on their door at 11 pm at night. There is a new hot tub, which was perfect after a long hike on a trail right outside the door. The nearest grocery store is 30 miles out, but we didn't mind the drive into town to pick up supplies. We found the Griffin Tavern in Little Washington to be fabulous! I am not a big fan of Virginia wine, but there is plenty of great beer to be found and the people in the area are so nice. It was about an 80 minute drive to DC. Highly recommend this spot!
We spent an enjoyable weekend at the house in January. As previous reviews accurately stated, the house is comfortable, clean, and well-equipped.
It is steps to hiking trails that are dog friendly and not far from Skyline Drive, Washington VA, and Sperryville. The nearest large grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so be sure to shop before arriving.
The owner is very hospitable, answering all questions, and even left some farm fresh eggs, wine and chocolate in the refrigerator.
It is a wonderful home! A perfect setting for a quiet getaway! We really appreciated the cooking supplies that were available in the kitchen, the hot tub was wonderful and relaxing, the selection of movies was great!
Was an amazing place to visit, the stars were gorgeous from the hot tube, and the house is lovely inside :)
Our family stayed at Bear Creek Farm for one month this summer. Bob and Lee were great hosts - fresh eggs and wine were waiting for us in the fridge on arrival and the house was spotless. The house is very comfortable and spacious and well-equipped - we found everything we needed in the kitchen and there were lots of cleaning supplies on hand which is always nice for a long stay. The beds were all extremely comfortable.
The location is nice and quiet, and near a trial head into the Shenandoah National Park. We enjoyed watching the variety of birds around the house, especially the hummingbirds, and Shorty, the friendly neighborhood dog who came to visit often.
We can highly recommend this house. Thanks Bob and Lee - hope to see you next summer!
Beer Creek Farm is the perfect weekend getaway! Everything you are expecting plus more! The location to local wineries, antique shops, cute small towns and several hiking trails is perfect. We enjoyed an afternoon at Gadino Cellars, a lovely brunch at near by Graves Mountain Lodge and our favorite hike was Little Devil Stairs. The house is clean, spacious and has everything you would need. Loved the farm fresh eggs!!
We can't wait to book our next vacation at Bear Creek Farm.
