Sugar Ridge is a beautiful spacious newly built 4 bedroom villa (sleeps 8) with private pool & Gazebo. It is situated in a residential location in the parish of St James. The villa is fully enclosed with tropical landscaped gardens. From the first floor you can catch glimpses of the Caribbean Sea & surrounding country side. The villa offers guests the opportunity to experience the island's unique culture & way of life. The famous Sandy Lane golf course is located approx half a mile away and a 5 minute drive will bring you to the coast road with its numerous beaches & amenities, including the famous Paynes Bay. A car is recommended. Holetown is located approx 2 miles from the villa & provides duty free shopping, excellent restaurants, bars, cafes, supermarkets, banks, post office & taxi rank. There is also a chattel village with craft shops, art gallery & cafe. Frequent buses depart Holetown for many parts of the island including Bridgetown

The west coast beaches have beautiful crystal clear waters & many activities, snorkelling, water skiing, diving & swimming with turtles. The famous Paynes Bay is 1 mile away & Folkestone Marine Reserve is 2.5 miles away. A trip to Harrison's Cave & the Kensington Oval Cricket Ground is a must & experience an evening of music, dance & good food on the Harbour Master boat. Visit Oistins, a fish market by day which comes alive on a Friday night with music, dancing & a great selection of traditional dishes. Near the villa are two shopping areas, Warrens & Holetown, where you can purchase a wide range of groceries and gifts. There are many excellent restaurants nearby, Bagatelle, Daphnes, Tides & The Cliff to name a few or you may decide to rustle up your own mouth watering meal on the villa barbeque.

This provides a real feel of outdoor living & is ideal for al fresco dining. The positioning of the villa enables it to make the most of the fresh invigorating breezes blowing in from the east which help keep the villa cool. The large windows & high tray ceilings together with the tasteful decor provide light & airy comfortable rooms. The owners of Sugar Ridge take great care in maintaining the villa's high standard of accommodation and offer a professional service to all guests to ensure their stay at the villa is a great experience.

Golf: The Sandy Lane Golf Course is a 5 minute drive from the villa, offering superb 9 and 18 hole golf courses. The Royal Westmorland Golf Course is 15 minutes away.

A terrific villa, very well appointed with an excellent pool and facilities for entertainment. air con, laundry, comfort and relaxation. Set in the very friendly Hoytes Village clost to the local beach and with supermarkets a short drive away in several directions. All the staff associated with the villa are very helpful and accommodating. The property is clean and well maintained with regular pool maintenance, gardening and cleaning all included in the deal. Good satelite TV coverage and DVD player. We found no problem with security although the villa is very well secured should you need it. The villa description in the advert is very accurate. We found many excellent restaurants in the vicinity with good shopping in nearby Holetown. Swimming with Turtles is highly recommended as is the Wildlife park in the North of the Islan.
Owner's Response: At Sugar Ridge, we have strived to create real home from home accommodation, providing a private, comfortable & relaxing atmosphere for guests to experience and enjoy during their stay. Therefore, it is so reassuring to read our guests’ positive comments regarding how well appointed they found the villa and how they thought the pool & entertainment facilities were excellent. The recent addition of a large pool side gazebo, with its own refrigerator, cupboard, table/chairs & bar area complete with bar stools provides a great area to entertain or relax with family & friends. We continue to take great care to ensure high standards of facilities both inside and outside the villa. We are pleased our guests found the location of Sugar Ridge enabled them to easily reach amenities, great beaches, restaurants & places of interest.
Sugar Ridge and its location really do offer guests an opportunity to experience Barbados’s unique culture & way of life and the friendly Bajan people.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sugar Ridge Villa in St.James. It was built for maximum privacy, we felt very safe when we were there. The pool is very nice, the balcony and the outside lounging areas were very large
I would stay at this villa when visiting Barbados again. The only draw back were the ants that got into every thing if you do not keep the kitchen policed up, other than that this is an outstanding villa. The restaraunts on the south beach were excellent, Just grilling and The New Century Chineec restaaurant were very good. Shopping in Bridgetown was good along with the Sheraton Mall. The food stores are a little pricey, so only buy what you need. The owners of this property have an excellent layout, I wish my home wqas layed out this well. I would recommend this property to a friend. My wife and I reall enjoyed our stay, we are looking forward to our next stay at this villa.

However, this is the first report and we will immediately rectify this through treatment. We are also pleased our guests thought the villa layout was excellent. We cannot take all the credit for this as Sugar Ridge was thoughtfully designed by one of Barbados's top architect's. It is great to hear guests want to return to beautiful Barbados and to Sugar Ridge.
