Podere Pecorino is a small family run chestnut farm in the heart of Tuscany. There are two intercommunicating villas sleeping a total of 9 people in 5 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms. Local produce is available and typical Tuscan dinners can be supplied on request. Each comfortably furnished villa has its own furnished outside space with pretty views. There are also lovely communal gardens which provide a choice of sun or shade to relax in. Podere Pecorino is a restored farm house with the traditional wooden beams and terracotta ceilings. It has been restored to a high standard. The owner lives on the property. The nearest village is Monticiano, about 3km away. It has a selection of restaurants and shops. Monticiano is found in the hills south of Siena near the San Galgano Abbey. From here there is easy access to Siena, the southern wine regions, spa establishments at Petriolo and the coast.

Monticiano is a pretty hill top village only a few minutes drive from the San Galgano Abbey and Petriolo hotsprings. It is about a 45 minute drive to Siena. From Monticiano there is easy access to Siena, the Chianti, the Southern Tuscan wine region and the Mediterranean coast. The Monticiano area is known for its natural beauty, wealth of local wildlife and it's famous by the locals for the amount of Porcini mushrooms found when in season.
