This is our 3 rd stay at Jan's place. The villa is perfectly furnished and ideal for families or couples.
It has an oversize pool which is perfect for families or just to cool off.
the kitchen is very well equipped for those evenings when you would rather stay in and relax. We also ate out on numerous occasions at a number of local restaurants-recommend Brio and Bravo at Waterside and Mercato -ideal for a bit of people watching!
The villa is not overlooked and has views of the nearby lake,it is some 15 mins from fantastic quiet local beaches and is both safe and secure.
Naples is a lovely place to visit and Jan's place the perfect antidote to the the hustle and bustle of Orlando.
We will be back and are already planning our next visit.
If you decide to stay here you could not have a better base from which to explore SW Florida.

Everything about this Villa was of the highest order, extremely well furnished with all mod cons and home comforts, location was perfect for exploring the area and the villa was in a gated community which offered security and made the morning run a pleasant experience. The Villa was clean and you could tell well looked after, the owners customer service approach was also tops, all information and instructions easy to follow and quiet happy to answer any questions personally. Downtown naples is beautiful and full of a wide selection of restaurants to suit all budgets, we also made the trip to fort myers which is another beautiful place and i guess a little more down to earth than naples if you fancy a change of scenery. We will be back and would happily recommend to friends, family and all..
I have to say I was a little disconcerted at reading the last two reviews on this villa but I can assure any future guests that any reservations I had were quickly dispelled.
If there was an issue with 'roof rats' there certainly is not now. I would also mention that the TV and Internet were extremely simple to use so quite why someone wouldn't manage is beyond me!
Our booking experience was very straightforward with Jan responding to any emails quickly and efficiently.
On arrival we were extremely impressed with the property, it is situated in a lovely location on a gated community overlooking the lake. I felt very secure with the security gatehouse at the entrance to the estate. The villa was way too big for our needs but can easily accommodate 6 people without feeling as though you were in each others' pockets. It is superbly furnished with absolutely everything you need on hand. There were supplies of the things you very often need to buy, kitchen towel, washing up liquid, soap powder etc. These are the little things that make a difference.
The pool area was lovely and clean, it's just a shame it was a little cool for us to really enjoy the facilities.
In summary, a great place to stay, don't hesitate to book if you are considering it, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. My only disappointment is that the villa appears to already be booked for our dates next year, c'est la vie !!
Thanks Jan for the use of your lovely villa.

just back from a two week stay at this property nov 2011 , its a lovely villa all that the owner said that it is unfortunatly for us we had to leave three days earlyer than we had planned due to what the locals call roof rats , at first we were only aware of them at night but they soon became apparent during the day time too , they would run from the roof and across the lani , they looked more like our mice , would recommend if this problem is resolved
Having read the others reviews I was quiet excited about this place. On arrival the telephone and Internet was not working. The television did not operate properly, there was an A4size sheet on how to operate it. Having had a bereavement just before we left home we needed a telephone but no joy.
The pillows on every bed were filthy and the master bed had been soiled. There were no instructions left with regards to anything about this house. We went to the agents in Davis village and showed them the state of the pillows and we were informed that the owners new about the state of them but refused to replace them. At first the agents were not going to replace them but then relented after a bit of pressure.
The nice lady who delivered the pillows that night told us she had cleaned this house for a number of years and she stated the owners new about the state of them but chose to ignore it.
We contacted the owners but they had got our money and were not interested. The general state of this house was poor. BBQ was filthy and could not used. Pots could not be used to prepare food and were eventually replaced by the management company. No plastic plates , cups for poolside. Pool deck and cage badly needed cleaned. The management company came out and stated they only took the house over in the last few weeks. The owners eventually e mailed and stated that we had got the villa cheap because it was a last minute booking.
Cheapness does not excuse filth . Tried to contact owners, left messages but no reply from them. The management company sent us a card and bottle of wine to say sorry. Pictures can be provided. Stay well clear of this house.
We booked this villa to recover from visiting the theme parks and to see more of Florida, and it was perfect for this. Although it is a bit of a drive from Orlando (3 and a half hours) , it is a very easy journey and the instructions were straightforward. Naples is a lovely town, immaculate and easy to find your way around, and it is not built up, but feels like a very relaxed community.
The villa is gorgeous - when we arrived we went from room to room saying 'wow' - and it is ideal for relaxing. We spent most of the day in the pool area, and went into the town to the beach or pier and to eat in the evening. We went to the Cove restaurant and Tommy Bahamas in town which were both excellent. The chinese takeaway nearby was very good (menu information was at the villa) and very reasonable. The supermarket was just a few minutes drive away.
We had trips up the coast to Sanibel Island and the Everglades which are very close. We saw dolphins and a pelican from the pier and enjoyed strolling around the town in the evening.
The villa is beautifully furnished and has lots of beach/pool equipment. The massive television and Disney Channel were a big hit with our children, and the pool and jacuzzi meant that they were able to burn off energy while we relaxed too. If the villa is available when you are looking online, you will not be disappointed if you book it.
The villa is situated in the private gated community of Briarwood and is located about about 10 minutes drive from Old Naples with its fine selection of shops, bars and restaurants. For serious shoppers the huge Coastland Centre Mall (JC Penney, Macys, Sears and Dillards etc.) is about 5 minutes from the house. There are several superb beaches nearby, the closest (Naples beach and Lowdermilk Park) being less than 10 minutes away. The beaches of Marco, Sanibel and Captiva Islands are also within easy reach. The lively Fort Myers Beach, where all sorts of water sports are available is 20 miles north of Naples. For airboat rides and wildlife centres the Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands National Parks are only a short drive south. There are numerous public golf courses close by. There is a large Publix supermarket and a Walgreens pharmacy close to the house. Briarwood has two swimming pools, tennis courts and a childrens' play area which you are welcome to use during your holiday.
