Blanchdown Farm enjoys a unique setting on the beautiful Devon bank of the Tamar River. The Barn is a high quality conversion of the main farm building. The farm is near the centre of the Tamar Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which has also recently been nominated as a World Heritage site as a result of its mining history. The Barn benefits from limestone, marble and oak floors, with underfloor heating in the bedrooms, radiators and a wood burner in the living area. Guests are free to explore the fields and woodland walks on the farm, picnics on the river banks are popular. There are numerous activities in the immediate surrounding area, with access to walks, rides and cycle tracks either adjoining the farm or nearby.

The Eden Project is nearby, surfing at Newquay is about 1 hour 15mins, the Dartmoor National Park with all its attractions is 15 mins. there are are numerous woodland and historic walks both on and adjoining the farm.
