Skiing in Kaprun Zell am See: With the glacier above Kaprun, the apartment is ideal for all year round skiing. The ski bus stop is a 1-2 minutes walk away, and a ride of about 10 minutes takes you to either Kitzsteinhorn or the Schmitten ski lifts. In Kaprun village there is a nursery ski slope which is convenient for beginners, there is also the Maisogel ski area,which is a brief bus ride away or can be easily walked to from the apartment. It is possible to upgrade your ski pass and to use it in the neighbouring ski areas which include Sallbach, Hinterglemm located further up the valley past Zell, there is also the Gastein valley approximately half a hour away by car, which is not only great for its skiing but superb for its spas. Excellent facilities are provided for snow boarders with special terrain park areas set aside for you to show of your skills. The mountain restaurants are excellent and provide a welcome break from the slopes and the opportunity to take in the views, rest and enjoy a drink

Golf in Kaprun and Zell am See: Nestling in the valley bottom surrounded by glorious mountains is the Kaprun and Zell am See golf club. This club welcomes visitors and has the benefit of not just one 18 hole golf course but two! at par 72 /73. A further 9 hole course is planned for the future. The courses are located in the sunny Salzach Valley with amazing mountain views of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Situated beside each other, they form a flat, park-like terrain that includes several lakes to enhance your enjoyment. The golf courses will be generally open from April through to November. The courses have been well designed, where several international tournaments have been hosted and golf players such as Langer, Norman, and Ballesteros have enjoyed the well maintained and carefully tended courses. The courses have been awarded with the quality approval title ‘Leading Golf Courses of Austria’ There are another 13 quality courses within a one hour drive of Kaprun for you to discover.

Sporting and relaxing opportunities: What ever you want to do there are a myriad of opportunities in Kaprun and Zell am See and the surrounding areas. For those who come on holiday to relax, Austria is the place for you, with its stunning scenery, excellent food, good transport links. After a few days of soaking up the atmosphere you will have found your unwound and relaxed and ready to take in more views from another mountain restaurant, or from a boat on the lake at Zell.
