The villa is located in one of the hills overlooking the most stunning views of the Cote D’Azur . It is situated above the famous Opio golf course with a 180 degree Mediterranean sea view. Chateauneuf is a medieval village only 20 minutes away from Cannes and its beaches. The villa is on 2000 m2 of manicured gardens with olive trees, palms trees and of course lots of lavender. The large 50 m2 high ceiling living room with fireplace is connected through a bar to an American kitchen. To separate both area, a 750 litre aquarium gives the living room an even more relaxing feeling. You will be surrounded by art in the villa, mainly coming from local artists of St Paul de Vence. The property has four bedrooms, with private en suite bathrooms. The studio is completely separated and offers for families sharing the rental, a possibility of living at a different pace. A BBQ is available in the garden as well as an outside dinning area for 8. Large sunbathing areas.Large trampoline.

Chateauneuf is a medieval village and is surrounded by the very famous town of Valbonne and Biot. The local market on Friday is typical of the south of France with its flavours and colours. Biot and is known for its glass making factories. For the gourmet, we recommend a visit of the candy making factory Florian, for the view, go to Gourdon and have a drink at Le Nid d aigle where you will hang over the cliff. The perfume factory of Grasse is worth seeing, as well as the village of Mougin where a lot of Picasso's art is available. All this is within 5 kms of the villa.Cannes and its entrance of the world famous film festival is interesting to see when you go for the day to the beach. There is also during the summer a music and light festival. Antibes is a beautiful provence town, with its city walls surrounding the old town

Perfect holiday

We had the pleasure of spending two wonderful weeks at villa 'Le Caroubier'. The villa was big enough to accomodate even three families with six adults and four children. Everything was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. The pool area was perfect and suitable for children as well offering complete privacy from the neighbours and passing street.

The location of the villa was magnificient and offered possibilities for one day trips to Monaco, Nice, St. Tropez etc. Renting a car is recommendable, if not travelling with your own.

The owner was very friendly and had left instructions and tips to guarantee best possible stay at the villa.

We can sincerely recommend this lovely villa for friends and families dreaming of perfect holiday together under the sun of southern France.

We've been coming to Le Caroubier for 4 years now, because we feel at home there. This does not feel like 'a rental' because it is not. This is a beautiful family home that is made available for some of the summer months.

Very spacious and full of stunning art (probably not suitable for rough and tumbling toddlers), with breathtaking coastal views from Cannes to Antibes. There is hardly any need to go anywhere as you can enjoy all of this poolside or whilst dining alfresco in the garden. A very short walk gets you to Chateauneuf De Grasse old village and the local Intermarche & Boulangerie, both of which are open all day.

However, we recommend exploring the plethora of attractions nearby that include Gordon (mountain village), Gorge Du Loup (Canyoning for the brave), Valbonne friday provencal market and family dining in the main square, Mougin (Art & Gastronomy), St Paul De Vence (beautiful hill village with the famous La Colombe D'Or restaurant frequented by many famous artists in the 20th century who's works still adorn the walls), The Maeght Foundation (Super Art in a stunning setting), and Antibes (Beaches, old town, marina, SHOPPING and more gastronomy).

You will not be disappointed.

Stunning, spacious villa. We had a lovely time there with our friends and two toddlers who are both 2 years old. It is not 100% ideal for toddlers as the stairs are all open and there are a few shere drops here and there, so you have to keep an eye on them at all times.

There was plenty of space for 4 adults and the two sprites to run around in and the pool was just lovely.

I would highly recommend this villa for those who have children who are a bit older and don't need constant supervision.

The bedrooms are all spacious and the studio on the lower ground floor is ideal for teenagers :-)

wonderful holidays

This villa is very well located, close enough to the old town or villages around and their activities but at the same time, very relaxing with its ocean view.
Even though it was hot, the place is so well ventilated that we did not feel unconfortable. The property was very well maintained and does correspond to the description.
The owner is very friendly tries to accomodate you as much as possible, leaves informations about where to go, what to visit, walks to not miss, favorite restaurants etc...
I definitively would recommend this property to friends and consider renting it again in the near future for myself and my family.

A dream came true !

We had wonderful days in the Villa Caroubier. We will come back!! The house is situated in a calm region and there are many objects of interest in the environment.
Valbonne and Nizza and their beautiful markets. Monaco
by night, Eze village with his exotical garden and the marvellous Grand Canyon du Verdon. The house is very good equipped and the barbecue in the garden is a dream!
The garden, the swimming pool and the aquarium are kept very well. The servicing is reliable and regardful. The description doesn´t exaggerate. The house is very commendable - a dream!
