Local highlights include world-class fishing and shooting, unrivalled walking, cycling and riding in miles of untouched countryside, stunning beaches, 16 golf courses within 30 miles, Lindisfarne Holy Island, elegant stately homes, ancient abbeys and Bamburgh, Alnwick and Floors castles. Excellent local restaurants and pubs. Only 3.5 hours by train from London Kings Cross.
