Oistins Vacation Rental house: Maxwell, Christ Church, Barbados.

Very large 2 bed apartment in a quiet residential area at the top of a very small hill/slope that could be a pipe blower for those not as fit as they once were but still easily managable.Its only negative is being below the flight path but this will only affect those staying in all day as flights do not run through the night. Staircase I would suggest would make it very difficult for those with disabilities.15 minute walk to Oisten for supermarket, bars and restuarants and the friday fish-fry[would recommend thursday saturday or sunday if you hate queues and large crowds].Bus stops at bottom of hill/slope to the Gap or Bridgetown the West and East coast and even the Airport every couple of minutes. A couple of decent beaches are again only a 5 to 15 minute walk or just get the bus to those further afield.2 double beds at the moment might make it a bit awkward for families but they will be swapping a double for 2 or 3 singles soon we were told.Hopefully a bookcase and dvd player will also soon be added.There is space for a car to be parked outside for those wishing to hire one but again most places can be reached by a good bus service which can add to the whole Bajan experience.Truly highly recommended to couples,2 couples 4 friends or small families.We normally when finding a diamond keep its location a secret but feel that this diamond should be shared due to its size and great value for money.We will definately be using again and recommending to friends and just hope that it is available next time we return to Barbados.
