Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Located at 338 Main Street/Kalispell, Mt. Camas Flats #1 is a fully restored vacation flat in the heart of dowtown Kalispell. You'll be within walking distance from the finest dining, art galleries, coffee shops, specialty boutiques and stores the city has to offer; and just minutes by car from Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, two ski resorts, miles of hiking trails, and the resort towns of Whitefish and Bigfork.

Camas Flats #1 is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment that sleeps 1-4 people. It is located above the largest yarn shop in Montana, and has been extensively renovated by the owners to be clean, comfortable, and convenient. It is one of three flats on the second floor, all operated as VRBOs.

It has an open kitchen/living area with hardwood floors. The kitchen contains all new stainless-steel appliances. A bar area with four stools lets you dine in style, then you can relax on the comfortable leather couch and chairs while visitng or watching TV. The bedroom has a new pillow-top queen size bed, lots of storage space, and views over the city to the west. The living room couch converts to a queen-sized sofa sleeper. There's a front-loading washer/dryer so you can keep up with the laundry. The bathroom has a large full-tile shower, a wall mointed blow-dryer, and is stocked with large, fluffy bath towels. We have recentily added white noise machines in both the livingroom and the bedroom for your relaxment. They work so well, some of our guests went home and bought one for themselves.

We welcome pets!

About Andy Hurst

Melanie loves to knit and to design knitwear, and her yarn shop keeps her busy. Andy is a finish carpenter and spends a lot of time at the shop as well. (He designed and built the storefront after Melanie fell in love with the look of the old buildings in Berlin.)

Melanie and Andy enjoy fishing and other outdoor activities, and have traveled the world visiting their adventurous children.

Andy Hurst purchased this apartment in 2007

Very Nice

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights and found the apartment to be very clean, well stocked and well maintained. We were able to bring our 2 small dogs with us and they seemed content to have more space than in a motel room. We used our apartment for meals and a place to settle after a day of shopping. The stairs were not an issue for us and we did get our exercise transporting the dogs up and down for walks and shopping trips. The only downside is the noise from Main Street and next time we will rent one of the back units. Aside from that we had a great time and would recommend it to friends. Thanks

Beautiful but too much street noise

  • 3 of 5

The room is exactly as pictured and was so convenient to be able to do laundry, however, the street noise was very loud and I found it difficult to sleep at night. Also, I stayed three nights and there was only one coffee package. I find that hotels normally replenish that daily.

Convenient and clean

  • 5 of 5

Nicely appointed "apartment" above a retail store in downtown Kalispell. Very clean and well maintained, the central location provided a good resting spot for touring the Flathead Valley and Glacier Park. A/C went out one night, but the owner responded immediately and it was repaired the next morning. Two covenants: (1) this unit faces Main Street (also Hwy 93) so there is some road noise. (2) This is an historic building so there are no elevators. There are front and rear stairs to take you to the second floor where the unit is located. The owner provides sound deadening devices that you can use if you are a light sleeper. Thanks, Andy and your wife, for your hospitality!
