Camas Flats #3 is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment that sleeps 1-4 people. It is located above the largest yarn shop in Montana, and has been extensively renovated by the owners to be clean, comfortable, and convenient. It is one of three flats on the second floor, all operated as VRBOs.

Melanie loves to knit and to design knitwear, and her yarn shop keeps her busy. Andy is a finish carpenter and spends a lot of time at the shop as well. (He designed and built the storefront after Melanie fell in love with the look of the old buildings in Berlin.)

Melanie and Andy enjoy fishing and other outdoor activities, and have traveled the world visiting their adventurous children.

Andy Hurst purchased this apartment in 2007

Melanie and Andy bought a beautiful old building on Kalispell's Main Street in 2007, then spent a year renovating it top to bottom with a dream of opening a yarn store and providing luxury urban apartments for rent. This is their first forray into VRBO, and they're excited to offer three centrally-located flats.

Camas Flats #3 give you the chance to stay in a beautiful, newly renovated urban apartment in the heart of the Flathead Valley. Park your car and walk to fine dining, galleries, shops, and parks; or take a short drive to Glacier Park, Flathead Lake, or one of the resort towns in the Flathead Valley. Whether you're here for business, a wedding, or a vacation, you'll enjoy the convenience of staying in downtown Kalispell. For a goup of up to 12 guest rent all 3 VRBO Camas Flats. VRBO #401639 and VRBO #401637

OVER-ALL GOOD BUT COULD BE BETTER

  • 4 of 5
Enjoyed our stay, good value, great location...loved the full size fridge, laundry and the fabulous bathroom ( shower and towels were amazing)

Furniture was worn. Felt the leather sofa had seen better days. The cushions were sliding out everytime you sat on it. Very uncomfortable! Ended up watch tv in bed as the living room just wasn't suitable. Which is a shame because it's a lovely space. Sheets had been washed with a ton of bleach. Itchy all night had to rewash them the next day to remove the heavy beach smell. No place to hang up a towel...no hooks on the backs of the any of the doors....

PERFECT STAY FOR TWO!

  • 5 of 5
Our stay in Kalispell was only four days but it was wonderful to tour, hike and sightsee the surrounding area especially GNP. Coming "home" to CamasFlats3 was perfect. Quiet, comfortable and with all the amenities it was the best way to relax and enjoy a good nights sleep after a busy day. The only thing that I had to call the owner about was the small skylight in the kitchen. I thought it was a real light fixture and I couldn't find the lightswitch for it. He jokingly told me I needed to talk to the sun about turning it off. I live in Texas and it doesn't stay light pass 9pm during the summer months. Who knew! Overall, we had a wonderful time and totally recommend this property.

CAMAS FLATS

Wow! Wow! Wow! We loved this flat. It was picture perfect and felt like home. The flat is beautifully renovated with lots of charm and is in a great downtown location so we were able to walk to restaurants and take strolls through nearby neighborhoods.

LOVELY APARTMENTS

  • 4 of 5
This is the second time I stayed at Camas Flats. I thought we had reserved the front apartment as we had requested but when we got there that wasn't the case. Oh well. We enjoy staying at the apartments as the location works well for us.
I found out the first time we stayed here that there wasn't enough dishwasher tablets or any dish soap so I ended up bringing my own from home this time. If you supplied it there for the length of each stay I think the apartments would be a lot cleaner for you as I am always washing and wiping stuff down when I have a sink of water.
Also it would be nice to have enough coffee for each stay. Even if it was available to buy. I brought my coffee from home but I couldn't get the amounts right so my coffee tasted terrible.
These are only little things and would make each stay nicer.
The apartment is nice and clean and well decorated. So mostly positive feedback.
We stayed in apartment 1 and there were only glass block windows so didn't love that as we couldn't see outside.

Thanks,
Glenda

CLASSY AND COMFORTABLE

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I indulged in a "stay-cation" for our third wedding anniversary, and chose to spend an evening at the Camas Flats. We found the facilities impeccably clean and well suited for our stay. We cooked a nice meal using the wonderfully equipped kitchen, and relaxed in a warm and elegant environment. The instructions for entry and checking in/out were clear and easy to follow. Proximity to coffee shops and restaurants is excellent. We live in a small house, and cannot accommodate many out-of-town guests, but we would definitely look into putting up visiting friends and family at this location. Thank you!

AMAZING FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE!

  • 5 of 5
Our first time using VRBO proved us immediate return customers, not only for the website, but for the Camas Flats! Very nicely constructed flat! We spoke with another weekend tenant and didn't even realize they brought their child! Privacy was amazing. Location was great, we didn't even need to rent a car! Everything was within walking distance!
