Around the Area: There is an abundance to choose from whatever you fancy, from a walk or a swim on one of the many splendid beaches all around, to a round of golf on one of the local courses, a spot of horse riding or to checking out the thriving town of Clonakilty with it's Model Village and Railway, Museum etc., or venture to the East to explore the neighbouring villages of Timoleague with it's 14th. century Franciscan Abbey, Courtmacsherry and the Seven Hreads Peninsula, or to Kinsale 'the Gourmet Capital of Ireland'. Travel westward from Clonakilty and take in the villages and scenery along the way to the most southern point in Ireland at Mizen Head.
