Villa, available from 2 to 7 persons

The villa is really nice and spacious. There is everything you need and even more. The premises are also very lovely and we loved the owners. Staying at this villa gives you real experience of life in Tuscany. When we are travelling we always live and act as locals to get the idea of life in that region. This villa, the small and cute village and owners gave us exactly want we wanted and expected from that vacation. Sienna is close and it took some 10 minutes by car. The good grocery shop (PAM) is only 7 minutes by car and there you can find absolutely everything you need for dinner and breakfast.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la villa : accueil très chaleureux des propriétaires, intérieur conforme aux photos, très spacieux et impeccablement tenu, piscine très agréable et très vaste. Petits plus : fourniture des denrées de base pour la cuisine (huile, vinaigre, sel ...) très pratique quand on arrive, nombreux livrets et cartes sur les sites touristiques des environs ainsi que quelques jeux de société à disposition et, cerise sur le gâteau, les lits faits à l'arrivée !

Villa Muricce provided us with the perfect 'home away from home' for our Tuscan holiday. The Villa was everything we could have hoped for. It was built in the early 18th century and though it has been renovated, the owners have maintained the ambiance of the place with some beautiful antique pieces of furniture and lots of Tuscan atmosphere. The views from every aspect of the three stories of the villa are beautiful. It has its own olive grove, fruit trees, gardens and pool and is set in a quiet rural area only 10 minutes drive from Siena. We could also park our car securely within the grounds.
We spent eight very enjoyable weeks during winter making day trips through Tuscany, Umbria and Liguria with the Villa as our home base. We even used the commuter buses to Florence at least once a week. It was wonderful to return home of an evening to our cosy, comfortable residence where we were able to indulge in some gourmet cooking with the local produce and to sample the local wines from the Chianti vineyards. We had family and friends to stay and they also enjoyed the Villa and the lifestyle.
We were made very welcome by Marie-Eve, Giada and family. They supported us with much-needed local information and friendly faces to converse with. We felt the atmosphere of the place was gentle and friendly and we were provided with an experience we will certainly never forget.
We feel so privileged to have been able to see some of the most beautiful art works and magnificent cathedrals, to walk through the historical cities of Siena and Florence, to wonder at the medieval architecture of places like Monteriggioni, Volterra, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Assisi and many others, to walk the city walls of Lucca, to marvel at the beauty of Cinque Terra, and most of all to enjoy the culture, customs and friendly people of the local area. We want to return.
