Beautiful Private Home W/(HEATED POOL) WiFi, Avail Aug 24 to 31st

Our trip was a comedy of errors from start to finish but the house made it all bearable. Everything was exactly as described and the pictures were dead on. We found the house very centrally located to everything and very comfortable. I do think you definitely need a car. The weather was pretty cool the week we were there but we were still able to use the pool because it's heated to a lovely temperature. The back yard is very private and felt secluded. You'd never know you were in a subdivision. We loved the lemon tree in the side yard! The only issue we had one day was a blocked kitchen sink and we called Bill, (his name is provided if you need help) who came over the same day and fixed it up. You really can't ask for more then that! All of our dealings with Keith were great, he was very helpful and patient.
I know some people said the master bedroom mattress was too soft but we slept great (though I usually prefer a firmer bed) There is no clock in the bedroom so if that bothers you - bring your own. Also, the modem is on the side table in the master bedroom, so you need to toss a towel or shirt over it or you'll have a disco style strobe light all night long...lol. Not a hard fix. That's about the only thing I could come up with to complain about. Everything was clean. You do really have to be prepared to buy your own toilet paper, paper towel, hand soap etc... there wasn't a whole lot left and you should keep that in mind if you are coming in on a late flight.
The Walmart is really close and you can get just about anything there. We also recommend Bealls Outlet for shopping as well as the Ellenton Outlet Mall. We tried to eat at restaurants not found in Atlantic Canada and Olive Garden was a clear winner for us. We went to a couple locations and enjoyed the food so much, and the price was excellent.
Norman's Liquors is top notch for selection and price if you want something while you're staying or something to take home. Both times we went the staff was friendly and the guy doing demos was very helpful.
John's Pass is a great place to spend a few hours. We had fun even in the pouring rain but it'd be ten times better on a sunny day. Shops and restaurants on the water...what could be better?

This was our first trip to Florida and if we ever come back we'd definitely stay here again. Hopefully next time the weather will cooperate.
