Families enjoy the park across the street, building sand castles on the beach, or perhaps taking an early morning horseback ride,
The Song of the Sea is made for those special activities you enjoy most..... or none at all.............all the demands of life seem to disappear and it's time to truly enjoy each other and nature's gifts.
You can choose to cook in, dine out, or order in snacks, full meals, or special treats from our talented and well known gourmet caterer.
Each bedroom is decorated to reflect our love of travel, with baskets of books in each room. We love to read and can't bear to throw away a book so we keep them handy for our guests. Curl up in front of the fireplace or on the deck with a cup of tea or a glass of wine and be transported away to another world of mystery, philosophical musing, romance or just plain fun.

Why The Owner chose Cannon Beach
Love at first sight! Cannon Beach is the quintessential charming beachfront retreat. Overflowiing flower baskets, charming boutique shops, gourmet restaurants and smiling people....We moved to Portland, OR with my husband's company in 1989 and soon discovered why everyone told us the first thing we needed to do was spend a weekend in Cannon Beach. We built our home here in1997, creating a 'home away from home' for our guests to enjoy the views and ambiance as much as we do.
What makes this house unique
Incredible views! Tea on the front deck to watch the sunrise, long walks along the beach. Our biggest decision is which coffee shop to visit. Then, it is off to an afternoon of golf and back to the deck for wine and cheese. Hiking up to Ecola Park through the old growth forest stretches our legs and our perspective on life. Watching the whales head off for the season and the pelican flocks stop to rest is a never ending sense of wonder at the cycles of life.
Our home is in a quiet area overlooking the park where elk graze in the early morning, away from the bustle of day visitors to the beach, but close enough for a short stroll to downtown.
