Apartment Doncellas is situated within the walls of this UNESCO World Heritage, nexto to the history of the ancient world, site in a quiet and peaceful area so if you want a ‘party place’ this is not the place for you. However if you enjoy history and food you are within an easy walk of the Cathedral, churches, mosques, monasteries, El Greco museum and many interesting restaurants and bars. The apartment is newly renovated and offers the following accommodation over 2 floors. The first floor has 2 large bedrooms with fitted wardrobes plus bathroom with shower. The ground floor comprises comfortable lounge/dining area, well equipped kitchen and separate toilet. There is a small private courtyard with table and chairs where you can enjoy breakfast or an evening appetizer in the lovely Spanish weather. It will be a perfect place to stay, a home from home. You are surrounded of History. Cots available and children are welcome, ideal for family holidays. Pets are welcome.

Toledo (Latin: Toletum; In Arabic: ?????? TulayTela) is a city and municipality located in central Spain, 70 km south of Madrid. It is the capital of the province of Toledo and of the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage as one of the former capitals of the Spanish Empire and place of coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Moorish cultures. Many famous people and artists were born or lived in Toledo, including Garcilaso de la Vega, Alfonso X and El Greco, and it was the place of important historic events such as the Visigothic Councils of Toledo. As of 2005, the city has a population of 75,578 and an area of 232.1 km² (89.59 square miles). The Cathedral of Toledo (Catedral de Toledo) was built between 1226-1493 and modeled after the Bourges Cathedral, though it also combines some characteristics of the Mudéjar style. It is remarkable for its incorporation of ligth.

Stay in the city center of chaming city

Apartement is located just in the old city center of Toledo, a pleasant and charming city, very quiet, well furnished with all comforts. I and my wife were looking for a restful week, but also a week in which we can discover this magic city and we found it!!! Walking in streets of old city of Toledo you can breathe old atmosphere and you can discover sereval historical and magic feature of this city. Furthermore you can discover strange feature of this city and Toledo by night,visiting the city with people of "Entorno Toledo" and when you come back to the apartement you''ll find a charming atmosphere. Madrid is very near, just an hour by bus and half an hour by train, but if you want to go shopping also in Toledo there a lot of opportunities. In conclusion, I and my wife are in love with this city and stay in this apartment has helped to give birth to this love and also its owner and his wife are lovely. Andrea & Lorena

Clean, Quite, Central Apartment

The apartment is very clean and in a quite location (interior apartment not facing street). It is near the Jewish quarter and everything is in walking distance. Note the train station is an approx. 30 minute walk being outside the old city. A taxi costs 5 Euros.

We are a family of four and the apartment worked perfectly for us. There is a small market (Spar) nearby which had what we needed.

There is reasonable pay parking nearby, we didn't have a problem gettting a spot, but unless you are there over the weekend, you may have to update the ticket in the morning and late afternoon.

Santiago was very helpful and answered all of our questions. He is very responsive by email.

If we stay in Toledo again, we will definately stay there again.

Fantastic visit to Toledo

What a wonderful stay in Toledo. A short walk to any place in town. Our apartment was a lovely 2 story with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Although the weather was a bit cold, the private patio would have been a great invite to relax.Santiago,the owner was grasious and very kind. He had breakfast for our first morning there and was available by phone for everything, including the taxi to take us to the airport. A great place to stay and would recommend it to anyone interested in a small piece of paradise in Toledo, Spain.
