"Villa Rosemary" nestles on a wooded hilltop, overlooking olive groves and the local Village.  A private driveway leads to the secluded Villa and shaded car port.  Terracotta tiled terraces surround the Villa and the swimming pool which has an excellent shallow end  for children. The shaded roof terrace has superb vistas and a BBQ with  a dining area for wining and dining whilst watching the nightly sunsets, a distant view of the sea and clear starry skies are indeed memorable. There are comfortable sun beds and garden furniture around the pool and a large blind for shade from the sun.  There are two bedrooms and an extra bed plus cot can be arranged at no extra cost.  Many guests have been returning for years, some for two or three visits a year. There are excellent and very reasonably prices restaurants in our vicinity and we have a guide recommended by our own experiences and by previous guests. There are small local village shops and several large supermarkets in Loule and  Sao Bra

"Villa Rosemary" is situated mid -way between the lovely market towns of Sao Bras and Loule on a private hill. The villa is a 25 minute drive from Faro airport, Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, and Vilamoura with their glorious beaches and first class golf courses. Ayamonte, in Spain, with tapas bars and restaurants is a 45 minute drive via the old town of Castro Marim with it's two imposing castles looking across the spectacular bridge to the border and only a 2 hour drive to the historic City of Seville and 4 hours to Gibraltar. Other places of interest are the old Spa town of Caldas de Monchique with it's delightful square and where you can fill up your own water bottles as the locals do. The huge Silves castle is also worth a visit and you can eat grilled chicken or fresh fish outside the market. Happy days - Summer 2008

Myself, husband and 13 year old son loved everytying about the villa and its surroundings, totally private, not overlooked but yet near to the owners should you need any assistance, who made us feel very welcome and provided us with all sorts of useful information. We tried their recommended restaurants and were not disappointed. We loved the swimming pool and the views from the gardens and roof terrace were spectacular at any time of the day or night, the villa was well equipped with games, books, the shaded car port was great, it kept the car cool even in the mid-day sun. My son loved the wild live - he spotted a Gecko or two. Its near to Sao Bras and Loule for shopping etc and a motorway within 10 mins to access the entire length of the Algarve which we did (we went to Spain it took 40mins). If you fancy a day at the beach you can take your pick of the resorts - all are under an hour away. All and all an unforgetable experience which I am sure we will repeat in the future.

A little piece of Paradise

We have been to the Algarve on several occasions now and we are pleased to have found Villa Rosemary as it is our ideal location to spend our holidays. The villa has all the modern amenities you could expect and most importantly for us “comfortable beds”. The views from the villa are awesome and the overall atmosphere is one of totally tranquillity. We like to relax and unwind on holidays and this villa provides the perfect setting to do so, if you just want to soak up the sun and relax with a glass of wine, or have a dip in the pool I can’t think of a better place.
The owners who live close by are very accommodating and friendly and in no way intrusive which is reassuring and they are more than helpful should you need assistance with anything, or just information on local events or venues.
All in all we found Villa Rosemary a perfect little piece of paradise at a reasonable price, easy to find and only 20 minutes from Faro airport.
We strongly recommend this villa to anyone considering a holiday in the Algarve, you won’t be disappointed.

We have spent our last 5yrs holidays in Portugal, always in a villa, and guess what, we are going back, this time to the same place... Our stay at villa Rosemary was glorious, normally after 2 weeks we are ready to come home, but this time we could have stayed longer, the villa was just perfect, clean, well maintained, location just right, not too far from the airport, within easy reach of local supermarket (which has everything) in Sao Bras, the lovely town of Loule and the superb fish market at Olhao, car recommended as its off the mainroad on a hillside, superb views.
Could not have asked for better hosts, Roger and Frances, handy they live close to villa, nothing was too much trouble, most obliging.

Highly recommend.
Roll on September... we are counting the weeks.

Geen 5 maar ook geen 4, wel een 4,5 punten waard! We hebben afgelopen zomer 2008 hier gelogeerd. Goed bereikbaar. De rust is overweldigend, heerlijk, precies waar we naar op zoek waren. Het uitzicht geweldig! De villa is mooi, alleen het bankstel zat niet lekker en de oven ging moeilijk open en dicht. Nou, als dat alles is.... Alles was schoon, de tuin met het zwembad was perfect!! Eigenaar was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Echt iets om aan te bevelen! Niet iets voor kleine kinderen, een stuk verwijderd van alle winkels, attracties en uitgaansgelegenheden, een stuk de bergen in.
