Romantic apartment for holiday vacation rental in Tuscany ancient medieval village, Buonconvento.(Val d'Orcia) 'Casa Prisca' is a wonderful first floor apartment lovingly restored to a high standard, set as a precious stone on medieval walls. The entrance is through a narrow street with an old arc. A private external stair leads to the main door of the apartment. The apartment consists of a spacious and well equipped kitchen (oven, cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher); a charming living/dining room with an open fireplace and sofa; a cosy dining room; a double bedroom (queen size bed) with ensuite shower bathroom; a studio with a double sofa bed; a bathroom with a stall shower. Summer Actraction!: If you like music, in La Foce country side every summer (July and August) and in the marvelous S.Galliano Abbey are held plays, concert and music alive. These sites are very close to Buonconvento village. 1 and 15-16 AUGUST: Palio Horse Race in Siena In Autumn (October) is truffle season !. In Val d'orcia village You will find many place where to taste it. In Winter period you can take relaxing thermal bath in many place close to Buonconvento such as: Bagno Vignoni, Bagni S.Filippo, Rapolano terme.

Golf: In about 1 hour drive there is Golf Tuscany Il Pelagone (18 holes), Argentario Golf Resort (Female Open Championship course 2008). You can rent trolley, cars and everything for play golf.

Other Activities: Thermal spa, wine tasting(Brunello Montalcino), historical city tour (Siena)

We stayed for a week in this wonderful apartment in September 2009. It is situated just inside the ancient town walls in a quiet street but just two minutes from the heart of town and shops and restaurants. The apartment is comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated with pastel colours and paintings that reflect the Tuscan region. In the kitchen we found everything we needed for cooking and dining and so we made the most of the wide range of local produce. Buonconvento is a lovely medieval town off the usual tourist trail. For us it was an ideal base for exploring the art and architectural delights of Siena and the towns of the Val d’Arbia.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

Do not pass up the oppotunity to stay in this beautiful apartment in this gorgeous town in a stunning part of Italy. Comfortable, quiet and sunny it was more than we could hope for. Local restaurant Da Mario is great and fab pasrty and meat shops nearby, with great market on Saturday. Very close for touring to the best small hill towns in the region.We LOVED it- thank you so much,
