We live in Seattle and this is our Dublin home. We stay here 4 to 6 weeks per year. We lived here for 5 years before moving to the US in 2010, so the apartment itself and all of its furnishings are high quality. The apartment was also fully refurbished in February 2012.

The apartment is in a superb, hard to beat location for walking to every major attraction in central Dublin, including the Guinness Storehouse (15 minutes), St. Patrick’s Cathedral (2 minutes), Christchurch Cathedral (5 minutes), St. Stephens Green (10 minutes), Grafton Street (10 minutes), Trinity College (15 minutes), Temple Bar (15 minutes), O’Connell Street (15 minutes) and the GPO (the site of the 1916 Easter Rising).

The apartment is in a small building of 7 apartments, with only 1 other apartment on the same floor as ours so there are no noisy neighbors to content with. The apartment is on Francis Street in an area known as Dublin's Antique Quarter.

Having been constructed in 2005 the apartment is quiet, warm in the winter, cool during the summer, with a small balcony and large floor to ceiling windows / doors which can be opened on to it.

The apartment has 2 good size bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The master bedroom is en suite, with ample wardrobe and drawer space. The second bedroom also has ample wardrobe and drawer space. Both bathrooms have spacious, pumped, electric showers. The large living area has a 42” flat screen plasma TV, and two large comfortable sofa’s. The dining area consists of a coffee table in the living area and also a breakfast bar with 3 stools. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, with an oven, fast heating hob and powerful extractor fan. There is a large fridge / freezer, a dishwasher, a washer / dryer, a microwave and a coffee maker.

There is free, fast cable internet service (with a wi-fi connection).

The apartment is located on the third floor (fourth by North American definition) of the building. There is an elevator and an intercom service from the apartment to the front door allowing for remote door opening.

There are numerous restaurants and ‘take-aways’ nearby offering a variety of cuisines, including Leo Burdocks, the famous Irish fish & chip shop. There is a small grocery store within a 2 minute walk, on Patrick Street, and a large one a 10 minute walk away on George’s Street.

If you plan on renting a car to see the countryside (you do NOT want or need one in Dublin itself) please ask us for our recommendations. Parking is available on the street outside outside the apartment - please note however that this is paid parking (approximately $3.50 per hour).

We will consider long term / corporate rentals but PLEASE have your dates confirmed and your employers approval before contacting us and having us prepare a quote for you.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK IN TIME IS 3PM. CHECK OUT TIME IS 11AM. An early check in or late check out may be possible but will depend on whether we have another booking the previous night (for early check in) / next night (for late check out).

PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THERE IS A 4 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. THE MINIMUM STAY IS 5 NIGHTS FOR STAYS THAT INCLUDE ST. PATRICKS DAY, GOOD FRIDAY, EASTER SUNDAY, THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS EVE, CHRISTMAS DAY, ST. STEPHENS DAY, NEW YEARS EVE OR NEW YEARS DAY

A week in Dublin

We spent a week in Dublin and rented this flat. We were traveling with our teenager so the flat was perfect for our family. It was clean, comfortable and safe. We were near enough to many places including St Patrick's Cathedral, Christ Church, Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, and downtown so that we could walk. The flat is also very close to Fallons Pub so we could have a pint or a Jameson's before we walked into town for dinner. All in all, a great place.

Great Dublin Location

This apartment was a perfect location to explore Dublin. We were a group of 4 seniors who found the apartment very clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Prior to our arrival Gary was excellent in answering our many questions and providing much needed hints and suggestions. Upon arriving Clare carried on where Gary left off and was a very gracious host. This location was within easy walking distance to the heart of Dublin and many key sites. The hop on hop off bus is just outside the door and provides excellent value and great transportation to anywhere in Dublin. All in all a super place to get our vacation off to a perfect start.

Perfect In Every Way!

There are not enough adjectives to describe how great this apartment and the location are. The neighbourhood is enchanting and the local pub is the perfect place for an end of the day refreshment. Greg was awesome to deal with. Emails were answered at lightning speed and Clare was very helpful when we met at the apartment. From the apartment, everything you would want to see or do in Dublin is an easy walk. We would definitely stay again at this perfect home away from home!

Comfy Central Dublin Flat

The flat is ideal for a Dublin visit. It was as described, clean, warm and very well equipped. Greg was super in terms of response and Claire, his sister who greeted us was charming and helpful with travel advice. The location puts most of Dublin's top sites within a 15 to 30 minute walk. Overall --top rate and brilliant as the Irish say.

Perfectly happy ...

The apartment was exactly as described: best located, clean and well appointed with everything you need.
The contact to the owner Greg was refreshing uncomplicated and the welcome by his sister Clare was very affectionate and made us feel home quickly.
The flat was a good starting point for nearly all of our excursions - either by feet or by bus.
A small grocery for all your daily needs is just around the corner (1 min walk) and the walking distance to Temple Bar with a whole lot of pubs is perfect to be in the middle of this nice lively district in a few minutes without having the noise.
It was our first trip to Dublin and certainly not the last one!
We had a great time there, not only because of our very friendly hosts Greg & Clare, but they have contributed in every way!

p.s.: I really have never met such a friendly people as the Irish. From the taxi driver over the football fan (a gaelic football match is really worth seeing!) up to the barmen in the pubs!

PERFECT!!

My husband and 2 of our friends stayed at Greg's flat in Dublin this week as the last part of our almost 2 week trip around Ireland. Greg answered my emails and phone calls immediately during my inquiry, and communication was always open and prompt. His sister Clare met us at the flat when we arrived and was very helpful and made sure that we knew we could call her if we needed anything (we didnt- everything was great!).

The location was absolutely perfect, situation on a nice quiet street and allowed us to walk to EVERYTHING very easily.

The flat itself was exactly as pictured, well maintained in a nice building, very clean, and well appointed, and we really felt like we were "home".

Next time I am in Dublin (which I hope is soon!) I would absolutely stay at Greg's place again, and would recommend it to any of my friends or family who plan to visit Dublin.
