A relaxing and tranquil haven.

My Wife and I just spent a the first week of November at Casa Maya. It's truly a lovely place. Very tastefully decorated, spacious with all mod cons. Thank God for the air conditioning.
Having your own pool is another huge plus and we had some great pool parties!
Maria, the house keeper, is also very helpful and she kept the place spotless as well as cooking our breakfasts every morning.
Also, the bed in the master bedroom is sooo comfy too!
The only criticism I could make is that during the course of our stay, there were numerous power cuts and there was no generator to back it up. It also could be useful if the path from the main road was lit up a tad more.
But honestly, it's a wonderful place to spend your holiday and we both thoroughly recommend it.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately power cuts can be a fact of life in Goa and at the time of this stay it was bad because of bad weather. I do have a back up inverter ( large battery) but it only covers some lights and the fans. I am going to investigate having a generator installed.
Regarding a 'tad more light' on the pathway to the street I am meeting with the Panchayat to discuss this. I have installed lights part of the way at my expence and I don't mind putting more. But I do need to discuss this with the Panchayat to get their permission.
