Stay High Above the Rooftops of San Francisco’s Noe Valley
$700.00 weekly, 1 Week minimum stay, $2000.00 monthly., Sleeps 2. Unfortunately, I am not able to accommodate children.
You'll love this sunny, cozy rooftop studio in the quiet San Francisco neighborhood of Noe Valley. You will have a panoramic view all the way from Twin Peaks to the San Francisco Bay. Today, Noe Valley is one of San Francisco’s most desirable residential areas full of Victorian homes, shops, restaurants and easy public transportation access, all in one of the sunniest parts of The City.
Watch the fog hover over Twin Peaks as you have your morning coffee as the warm sun shines through your windows on three sides. Warm comfortable bed, cable TV and wireless Internet access. Half-bath with a wonderful tiled shower, wet-bar with large sink and small refrigerator. You will be provided with everything you need to make simple meals with the microwave, electric burning and toaster oven. Linen and towels provided.
This beautiful rooftop hideaway, with its own access through a side passageway and up a back staircase. Must be able to negotiate stairs since access is up a circular staircase of 43 steps.
You will be in walking distance to restaurants and Noe Valley’s 24th Street shops, or you can catch the J-Church MUNI line just a block away that will give you direct access not only to the environs of Noe Valley, but to the Castro, Dolores Park and downtown San Francisco for the Cable Cars and Union Square. BART is just a short 10-minute walk away.
Parking is on the street though garage parking can be arranged for an additional fee. A washer and dryer are available on the premises.
Please let me know where you are coming from if you are interested in my rooftop sunroom.

Your host, a retired musician (but musicians never 'retire') will answer any of your questions and assist you in having the best possible time in San Francisco. Your host has lived at this location since 1986 and has lovingly restored and updated each unit in the builidng making for a unique and relaxed living experience.
Dana L. Rees purchased this studio in 1986
The ROOFTOP SUNROOM is literally that, a room perched on the roof of a two unit building in San Francisco's Noe Valley. You view is panoramic from Twin Peaks looking west sweeping around to San Francisco Bay looking east.
San Francisco is a city of neighborhoods and Noe Valley is one of the nicest. It is in a part of The City that the sun shines brightly when much of the rest of San Francisco is in the Fog. It is a neighborhood where you walk! Walk to the shops and stores on 24th St., or find wonerful restaurants just blocks away on Church St. Walk to a cheese store, meat market, or take in the Saturday morning Farmers' Market. Walk in any direction and you will find a coffee shop where you can sit and relax enjoying your tea or coffee.
I was fortunate enough to stay in Dana's beautiful SunRoom for an entire week and it was fantastic. Dana is the perfect host and not intrusive at all. I am very familiar with San Francisco and Noe Valley, so I didn't need any help or tips on how to get around and what to see, but he is very willing to help out if you need it. His place is exceptionally well taken care of, and clean, clean, clean, which is something I really appreciate. The bed is super comfy and you have everything you will need to have a comfortable stay. He was even kind enough to bring me his iron and ironing board since I needed them to iron my work clothes. I felt at home the minute I walked in the door. Noe Valley is the perfect place for tourists, or people who are in the city on business. Great restaurants, exceptional for walking and safe. Stay here and get the chance to see the real SF and not just the touristy, crowded parts. The only negatives were that the staircase is very narrow and winding and can be difficult to navigate with luggage. I was fortunate that my luggage was taken up to the room for me-something I truly appreciated. The other negative, and it can't be helped, is that you have to run the shower for at least 5 minutes to get hot water. Not a problem except that I felt very guilty doing that during our drought. I refer to my stay here as my sanctuary in the sky. Beautiful accommodations with amazing views of the city. I hope to be back very soon. You will not meet a nicer, more accommodating host than Dana and I feel fortunate to have het him.
We rented this amazing apartment for a month in the process of moving from New York to San Francisco. We found the sunroom to be exactly as advertized and the photos represent the space well. What the photos can't fully capture is how amazing the views are - totally worth the climb up the winding stairs! The views of the hills and valleys give a great iconic San Francisco feel. This is a great place to stay to get a taste of a residential neighborhood, with lots to do in walking distance and easy access to all parts of the city via public transit. Dana was the perfect host - not intrusive but always available with help or suggestions. For people looking to really explore San Francisco while enjoying amazing views in a comfortable studio, you can't find anything better than this.
My sister and I were travelling to San Francisco (SF) over the winter holiday. The view from the rooftop sunroom was an amazing sight to wake up to every morning. Unfortunately during the week we stayed, SF was in the middle of a storm season, so it was difficult to walk around the neighbourhoods to explore.
The stairwell is quite steep and narrow (as pictured), therefore I would not recommend this property to someone who has difficulty with stairs.
Our favourite restaurant in the area would be Noeteca on down the street. There are many other cute shops along Church Street to explore.
Dana is an amazing host, he made sure we were safe upon arrival as we were faced with some delays getting from the airport to Noe Valley. I would recommend taking a taxi or use the uber car service to get from the airport to Dana's apartment.
Dana was a very considerate and accommodating host. The space is very cute - compact but spacious and has everything you could need. There was even a great coffee maker, and the kitchen & bathroom were stocked with a few nice bonuses to make the stay that much more comfy. It has a homely feel when you step into it the bed is a really comfy bed. The place is very central to downtown and public transport. Will definitely recommend to others and hope to be back again. It's completly private and the stairs were no bother at all. Dana provided lots of advice/tips on Sanfrancisco which saved us time very accurate A+. Thanks heaps
I would recommend this sunroom for couples who are going on a getaway or for anyone who wants to be in a residential area away from tourists to get the real feel of San Francisco. The location is 20minutes from downtown by public transportation. The tram comes in every 10minutes, you do not need a car to get around the city.
Dana was very helpful from the beginning, and we loved the sunroom. I would highly recommend it!
Very nice room with an amazing view. All the windows made it feel like we were outside all the time. Great place, highly recommended. Short walk to all the great restaurants in the mission district. Perfect for seeing the "non" commercial region of San Francisco.
