Lake Glenville is a crystal clear freshwater lake fed by mountain streams and 5 waterfalls. There are 26 miles of shoreline to explore while you enjoy boating, skiing, fishing and swimming. Bring your boat and dock it at the 8 slip boat dock, or rent one from the nearby marina. A swim ladder is available for refreshing swims in the lake. There are also horseback riding, hiking, rafting and many other mountain activities to enjoy.
Each week in the mountains brings a different festival to nearby Cashiers or Highlands, including art, antiques, crafts and farmers markets. Highlands is a 20 minute drive for shopping, fine dining and a beautiful spa at the Old Edwards Inn. Cashiers is 10 miles away for unique shops and antiquing.
The house is fully equipped with all new appliances and a gas grill. A large wood burning fireplace warms you on cool evenings while your children catch fireflies! There are three levels to enjoy, with a loft for games and movies.

We are an active family of five and we love to be outdoors. We have enjoyed spending summers at Lake Glenville for over 15 years and have built many happy memories of our summers there. It is a great place to relax and escape from the summer heat, and to form lifelong memories with your loved ones.
Carole Shepardson purchased this house in 2003
We spent many summers renting different homes and cabins at the lake, and when the opportunity came to buy our home at Lake Glenville we were thrilled. It is an easy trip up for us (from Florida) and a wonderful relief from the summer heat. We love being outdoors and it is like going back in time. Our children have grown up spending summers there and have spent the days swimming, exploring, skiing and horseback riding. We appreciate the slower pace and having the time to enjoy each other without the demands of city living.
We enjoy the many farmers markets and trying new recipes with all the fresh fruits and vegetables available in the summer. Our children found time in the evenings or on the occasional rainy day to read or play games. We enjoyed going to church bazaars and festivals and renewing old friendships each summer.
Nice home, cabin type feel at the lake. Home was well equipped for Kitchen, comfort, bedrooms, accessories such as kayak, etc. At Northern tip of Glenville Lake, 10 minutes or so from Cashiers, nice scenic drive to town which has most anything you need.
Working with Carole was extremely easy and efficient. Access and directions were helpful, and insights on restaurants etc was helpful.
My husband and I and our two children had an amazing time at this house. We unplugged from our routine of tv and iPads and played in nature. The dock is a short walk down the hill to the lake. If you head down to the docks at dark you will pass an amazing open field of fireflies! The house is super cozy with down chairs and the beds are great. Lots if throw blankets to wrap up on the large deck or by the fireplace. There is a small tv in the loft for watching DVDs. The kitchen is totally equip it has a gas range and all the pots pans and cooking utensils you need. We had a fabulous vacation and can't wait to go back!
