Local Attractions and Facilities:
Set in the heart of the Brittany countryside this is a perfect location for cycling and walking and with all the sights on offer you will be spoilt for choice. The cottage has the added advantage of being only 25 minutes drive from the famous Mont St Michel , a jewel of Gothic architecture. The stunning coastline of the Emerald coast stretches to Dinard and is marked by alternating jagged cliffs and soft sandy beaches. It was here well before this part of Brittany was discovered by tourists that Renoir and other artists were inspired by its beauty.You can take unusual walks through lovely countryside scattered with magnificent churches and chapels each full of treasures and wonderful stained glass windows. For those interested in the legends of King Arthur and the romances of the Round table the the legendary forest of Broceliande must be visited. St Malo, Fougeres with its stunning castle and views, Dinan are all fine examples of beautiful medieval towns -all a short drive away.

For golf enthusiasts there are at least 4 golf courses within a 40 minutes drive. There are different markets everyday in nearby towns and some fabulous restaurants. Cancale famous for its oysters is a must for lovers of seafood. 10 minutes away is the lovely forest and Lake of Villecartier. This is a superb location for walking and cycling and has excellent facilities for children including boat and pony rides in season. Other attractions for children include the fabulous Aquarium in St Malo, Aligatoor Bay near Pontorson and two waterparks within 40 minutes drive.
Rennes the departmental capital of this region of Ille et Vilaine is one of the liveliest towns in France, interesting architecture and a dynamic cultural scene. Around the cathedral, narrow streets wind between timber framed houses that conceal courtyards. On Saturdays, the Places des Lices throngs with the colourful stalls of one of the livliest markets of Brittany.
Golf:
There are several good golf courses within a 40 minute drive, these include Des Ormes (Dol de Bretagne), Le Tronchet ( St,. Malo), Granville and Le Fresloniere (Rennes).
