Dillon Beach Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Romantic, Coastal, Arts and Crafts Style Cottage, originally built in 1918 by Zella Lee Gibson, as her painting studio. The cottage has been lovingly restored by the owners, a wine country interior designer and a general contractor. Perfect for the discriminating renter who wants the best of what Dillon Beach has to offer. SEVENTY FiVE, 5 Star Reviews!

'Full Circle' has an all redwood interior, 17 foot high vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, 180 degree ocean view, filled with period antiques, lighting and original artwork. Known as 'the cutest house in the village', at Dillon Beach. Located just 200 strides from the beach.

Upon check-in, you are welcomed with a bottle of Cline Cashmere wine (It tastes as smooth as it sounds), a fresh cut bouquet of white Casa Blanca lilies, Coast Roast coffee, a box of 4 custom Full Circle, Belgium chocolate truffles by Le Belge, live orchids, plush Turkish cotton bath sheets and robes, Terra Pure organic shampoo, condoner and body wash and custom, hand made, organic Full Circle soaps from Hawaii. The two, new pillow-top queen size beds are made with 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters, down pillows and Pendleton Chief blankets. The fire is built and ready to light.

Wake up each morning to the sun streaming in the magnificent front gable, stained glass, church window. Watch the waves roll in on the beach from your bed in the loft. Spend your days relaxing in steamer chairs and hammock on the patio overlooking the ocean or cuddled into the plush Lloyd Flanders patio furniture on the upper deck. Enjoy a sparkling clean hot tub with a whitewater ocean view and watch the sun set on the ocean. BBQ and have dinner under the stars on the deck. Fall asleep by the fire and to the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.

A one of a kind place for that special occasion. The cottage has been featured in the Travel section of the New York Times, 'Elegant Bungalows' by Bethany Lyttle, on February 8th, 2008. It was also used as the set for the short film by Tarik Haddad, 'The Sound of a Yellow Flower', which played in the London Film Festival and the Dubai Film Festival's, among others. Gary William Kohler wrote and recorded a song about the cottage, 'Full Circle', that is included on his CD, 'Nowhere to be Found'.

This cottage is pure romantic bliss.

The cottage is meticulously maintained to the highest cleaning standards. It is cleaned with eco-friendly products for 4 to 5 hours between each guest and deep cleaned once a month for five hours. Down pillows are washed regularly and have pillow covers under the pillow cases. The Hot Springs spa has a sophisticated ozone filter system and is also thoroughly completely cleaned between each guest.

About Tom

Tom is a General Contractor who has done numerous historic preservation projects and built wineries, hotels, schools and resorts.

Robin is an interior designer who has been featured in the Home Section of the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Times, Details magazine and the books Sonoma Valley Style, and California Wine Country and several other publications.

Tom purchased this cabin in 1990

Why Tom chose Dillon Beach

Dillon Beach is an old fishing village built right after the turn of the century. You feel like your 1,000 miles from 'civilization' when you are there. It is like 'the town that time forgot' perched on the edge of the world, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay.

This restored, all redwood artist studio, is truly a one-of-a-kind and the perfect place for a romantic getaway or just simple peace, quiet and solitude.

What makes this cabin unique

Historic property. Dramatic backyard ocean views, smells and sounds. All Redwood interior, 17' vaulted ceiling, loft, short walk to the beach. Good bones.

Happy Couple

  • 5 of 5
Once we arrived at the cottage we were speechless. The careful attention to detail from the craftsmanship of the home to the decor and amenities was amazing. I've personally worked in some very high end expensive places...some that go for over 3,000.00 a night and I would choose this place over those any day! For a couple it is one of the most romantic, charming place we could have imagined. I just want to say thank you to Tom for the opportunity to stay and share this wonderful place. The pictures were hard to believe but once we showed up it was apparent that the owners and caretakers go through a great deal to make this place special.

Relax and reconnect

  • 5 of 5
From the minute we arrived, we fell in love with this place. It had so many beautiful and charming artistic features. The beds were plush and dreamy with windows that looked out on to the ocean. The kitchen was a blast to cook in, and French doors opened to a fabulous sitting area. The multi leveled patio was perfect for relaxing, with views and fresh ocean breezes. Plus, we loved the hot tub...it was toasty and spotless. This was a perfect getaway for my brother and I to enjoy with our mom. Relax and reconnect. Thanks Tom for everything!

Lovely & Romantic - A Must For Your Bucket List!

Lovely & Romantic - A Must For Your Bucket List!
  • 5 of 5
If you’re looking for a lovely and romantic cottage retreat then Full Circle must be on your bucket list. Attention to detail is prevalent from the moment you arrive. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere is abundant whether you’re inside enjoying the period decorations or outside lounging in the steamer chairs or enjoying the spa.

The ocean view is fantastic, whether you’re sitting on the upper deck with a glass of wine enjoying the sunset or opening a window or two and falling asleep or waking up to the sound of the ocean waves.

It is apparent from the moment you arrive that the owners and caretaker do everything possible to ensure the comfort of their guests.

Thank you note to owners and manager

  • 5 of 5
Thank you so much for creating such an amazing retreat. We came here, in part, to spark our creativity and work on our new business. We just keep talking about how lucky we are to have landed in a place so beautiful, so clearly loved, and so inspired. We sit here over a meal or a book and look up and comment on something - the art, the electricity/wiring, the stained glass. I have had the opportunity to travel the world and have stayed in some amazing places, and this is absolutely on the top of the list. In fact, I have been searching for a getaway spot on the beach (we live inland) that hit the mark in terms of size (small, quaint) and luxury. Until now, I've been hugely disappointed - arriving to places described as gorgeous only to find it filled with dirty second hand furniture, bedding and cookware. We appreciate your intention of creating a gorgeous space and trusting that guests will treat it with the respect and care it deserves.

Again, we're grateful, and are already looking at the calendar for a return visit!

Incredible Vistas, Romance and Relaxation

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I are from Atlanta and have been VRBO fans for a couple of years - but never more so than after we stayed at Full Circle in Dillon Beach. This artist's cabin is adorned with wonderful period art and personal mementos from the owner's family. The kitchen it first-rate and the backyard amenities are no less than stunning. We arrived in the dark of night to a great bottle of local wine and some wonderful chocolates.

Tired from our trip, we opened the windows to the loft to feel the sea breeze and fall asleep to the sound of the surf. Twelve hours of travel stress melted away in moments. Full Circle is about 200 steps from the beach - which is free if you don't park (no need to if you're staying at the cottage). Tom, the owner, and Linda, the caretaker, are wonderful people, eager to make the experience unforgettable in the best possible ways. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing but not too hot - we were cooled by a fresh sea breeze. The ocean view is everything you could hope for. You can see to the tip of Point Reyes. There's a gas grill for outdoor cooking and all kinds of very comfortable lounge furniture on the deck and the patio.

Full Circle is located within ten minutes of a bakery that is regionally renowned (Tamales Bakery), and is within 30 minutes of several good restaurants and a number of very good wineries. I recommend Joseph Phelps Freestone Winery in Freestone, where you'll also find a great gift/antique shop, a wonderful artisan bakery and a great artisan cheese shop.

And yet, the atmosphere is peaceful, relaxing and extremely romantic. The weather at this time of year can be cloudy, cool and foggy. But drive five minutes inland and it's a crystal clear day. The quiet and the fog enhanced the romance. The sunshine inland made for perfect wine tastings around the region.

One more note: This area is a splendid bicycling destination. We didn't bring our bikes from Atlanta, but they come from all over California to ride in this area, so bring your bike and don't skimp on the protein bars. With these hills, you'll need them!

I heartily recommend this wonderful retreat and plan to return with my lovely wife again and again.

What you see is what you get.....Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5
This cottage is amazing and you won't be disappointed. The owners have done a great job at making this place feel like your own. Some rental homes have that "rental home" feel....not this one. Tom was amazing and his communication was greatly appreciated. Linda was great and made sure that we had everything we needed upon arrival. The home is very well stocked, so you won't have to worry if you forget something. Dillon Beach is an incredible little beach town and is the perfect spot for those that want to get away. I can't wait to return.....you will not be disappointed if you are one of the fortunate who get to share a piece of this gem.
