Waterville has two golf courses, one within a mile, the other a world ranked championship golf course approximately two miles. There is a beach and walkway stretching along the front of the village. Sandy beaches, national park and historic house at Derrynane are about 15mins drive.

Waterville and its surrounding area offers a number of breathtaking walks and places to see. The most scenic of these walks is the Coomakista Pass.
Waterville village has many fine restaurants, pubs, shops, craft stores, post office, garage, internet cafés and coffee shops. The village has attracted many famous celebrities over the years, Charlie Chaplin, Tiger Woods, Payne Stewart, Mark O'Meara.......to name but a few.
