Il Coltro is a Farm House in front of San Gimignano in Toscana, near Siena. Originally built during Middle Age, when it was a part of a fortified monastery set near a crossroad where the pilgrim’s rout was called “Via Francigena”. The present architecture is the result of various remanegment of the XV and XVII century. In 1997 after a full restoration, 7 apartments have been obtained, which though very comfortably equipped, keep up the touch and style of a TuscanyFarm House. The colours of wall, the furnitures, the fitting, create a unique climate, a enjoyable look back to forgotten life rhythm.

The house is very comfortable, well decorated, with all necessary stuff, thick walls to keep it cool during summer, nice garden with private garden furniture to stay outdoors, pretty good swimming pool, private parking space... It is very well located to access any Tuscany spot meaning you can either take wonderful twisty roads or readily go into a fastway so many many places within the range!
The owners, charming persons, provide good advice for routes, sightseeing, restaurants, shopping... Thanks for everything, Donna & Mauro!
I can not ask for more but longer holidays!
