We live in Florida but love coming to Lake Oconee to our lakefront getaway. We never feel more relaxed than when we're at our lakehome. It's the perfect place for family gatherings. We love boating, waterskiing, tubing, going to the jumping rock, or relaxing at the Ritz Carlton on the lake. We also love the wonderful restaurants and shops that are in the area....plenty to do if you want to!
Terry Holden purchased this cabin in 2002
Awesome area....beautiful lake. Plenty to do whether it's water sports, golf, antiquing, dining out, or just relaxing. Nearby to Atlanta, Augusta or Athens, but not too close! You feel like you're worlds away....
Complete relaxation! The cabin is so comfortable, plenty of room but doesn't lose it's cozy feel. We get many compliments on the comfort and beauty of our home. People love the back porch and tell us they 'live out there.' The boating and fishing from our private dock can't be beat. We are located at the desirable southend of Lake Oconee....beautiful water and very peaceful.
The house has a breathtaking view and is very serene! We also really enjoyed the gameroom (even for all adults staying) All the men are now trying to plan their own gameroom at their own homes :) There was plenty of room for multiple guests and everything was clean. The lake has fish, we know because I caught a 33" catfish, so be sure to bring your fishing poles! Also, we really enjoyed all the outdoor sitting areas and outdoor chimney. We will most certainly be back to enjoy this wonderful home!
Four buddies hooked up at this wonderful cabin Saturday to Wednesday. Played some golf, went fishing and we made our first trip to the Masters. The cabin was furnished with everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. We spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the lake and of course in front of the 55" TV watching the NCAA tourney. Thanks Terry for letting is use the place and we will be back
My family and were here just a couple of months ago and once again the cabin did not disappoint! I am very familiar with Lake Oconee and this house is in such a great spot on the lake plus has an amazing big water view. Once again I would recommend this house to any family who is looking for a relaxing get away.
PS…we loved the new ping pong table Terry!
My family had a wonderful stay at this house! The lake was beautiful and not busy or overpopulated. The kids loved the slide on the dock and the game room downstairs. We loved the awesome screened-in porch and sitting on the dock. Would definitely recommend and would come back without any hesitation. Terry was very responsive and we had all that we needed. Just a great vacation!
This was exactly what we needed! The screened in back porch was amazing, it was where we hung out most of the time if we were not out enjoying the water. We also spent a lot of time in the evenings playing games downstairs and relaxing on the comfy sofa. This house really does have a lot of space to spread out and I agree that the pictures do not do it justice. My family had a great time and we definitely plan on making another trip!
My family stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect, spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. The dock was great, deep enough water for swimming and excellent for sunning. We will certainly plan on returning here in the future.
Our house is located just across the lake from the famous Lake Oconee jumping rock! Also nearby various rope swings on the lake. Long Shoals boat launch area is right down the street. 15 minute boat ride to the Ritz Carlton and several nice restaurants on the lake (The Boathouse, Bone Island Grill, Waterside, etc). Nearby towns include Eatonton, Greensboro, Milledgeville and Madison. Great restaurants, shops, and antiquing in these towns! If it rains, you have the Parkside Cinema 8 theatres in nearby Greensboro to enjoy! There is also hiking and mountain biking trails nearby at Rock Hawk Park. Lake Oconee and our lakefront cabin offer tons of fun for the whole family!
