A veteran traveller, I always comb the Internet listings for an apartment that is well priced, very attractive, ultra clean, perfectly located geographically and having a warm enduring quality. I had been staying in Venice nearby in the Castello section in another apartment over the years...until I found this particular brand new apartment that has made me more satisfied and comfortable than any I have ever stayed at. This is a small, efficient, attractive and cozy place to come home to after a hard day of 'touristing' in Venice. All brand new applicances...including a new clothes washing machine...new cabinets and fresh decorations make this a perfect choice. Just down the street is the best food shopping area in Venice --Via Garibaldi-- with plenty of fresh markets, small food shops, a Co-Op food store (like a mini-A+P), outdoor cafes and a wide boulevard to do your evening 'passagetto'. Significantly, San Marco is a leisurely 10 minute stroll and the public gardens begin about 30 seconds from the apartment front door. The Arsenal vaporetto stop is a two minute walk or you could take the Public Gardens vaporetto stop only one minute from the apartment. See what I mean? The best geographically located apartment in the best section of Venice (Castello) where you can relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown areas of Rialto and San Marco. I save the best until last...the ownership of the apartment is a warm and friendly family and is managed on a day to day basis by charming Nicoletta! She is eager to provide you with the foods you need to find in your refrigerator when you first walk in after a hard day of travelling....and is ready and available to offer her best advice to make Venice a truly personal experience. I have never been so pleased with an apartment in all of my travelling days visiting England, France and Italy and can personally assure you that "Ca' Degli Archi" is the best overall housing experience for a couple and perhaps an infant in this small efficiency apartment! The shower is excellent with plenty of hot water and water pressure...something not found in that many places around town I have learned...and all Nicoletta needed was to be assured that Americans need a microwave oven to help prepare foods...and she probably has the new unit already installed as I write this review back in America on May 28th, 2012. A great place that I shall forever call me home away from home in the Republic of Venice!
