FOUR-SEASON CABIN WITH BOAT & 1 PONTOON RENTAL

We began renting at DTL in 1997 with some friends who had been coming up for several years before we started. We had all cabins rented the first few years. It was a great time relaxing with friends around the fire at night, fishing during the day and lounging at the beach or paddle boating or canoeing. Many fun times have been had and there always seems to be one memorial event each year. We still get together with these friends/adopted family every June for a week and look forward to the time together. We now delegate one supper to a family/cabin per evening so we only have to plan/cook one meal giving us more time to spend out on the lake or exploring the area. The first nice night after Saturday is designed as pudgie pie/campfire pie night. We get a large fire going and everyone brings fixings for pizza, ham and cheese, cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon, apple or cherry pie filling, vanilla or chocolate pudding pudgie pies. We have also used the Friday night supper as 'clean out the fridge' night. If it is raining we just move the suppers to the Lodge which holds us all comfortably.

We decided to buy a cabin a few years after the condo association was formed. We loved it up here so much that we wanted to have the capability to stay more often when it wasn't rented to get away and relax. Our daughter was 2 years old when we first stayed at DTL and is now a junior in high school. One year we had to cancel our week due to a death in the family and we all really missed being at DTL that year. Our time at DTL is very special for the whole family.
