About Pam Kicklighter
Warren, Pam and Luger and LK are your hosts at the Luger Haus. We purchased this home in 2006 after finding the NC High Country on a vacation in 2001. We are retired engineers from NASA and now enjoy country living in the mountains during the summers and retreat to warm Florida in winter. Here in Todd, we have chickens, an herb garden, a blueberry patch, an inherited apple orchard, and plant a vegetable garden each summer.
Luger, our German Sheperd, is also our host - he loves children and other dogs, loves to hike and play with his toys, and especially play with visitors - he truly believes that the only reason people come to his house is to play with him!!

Why Pam Kicklighter chose Todd
We found the 'High Country' in 2001 after traveling the country during a severely hot summer - when we camped in Boone, in August, we had to turn on the heat at night as it was so cool! We decided to retire to this area. After searching for the perfect spot, we found Todd - with easy access to major roads, the towns of Boone and West Jefferson nearby - we fell in love with the peace and quiet of Todd.
What makes this house unique
From Luger Haus, you can walk to the end of the driveway and bike on Railroad Grade Road, fish or kayak or tube on the river, or just sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee and watch the river.
