Casa Franceschin is a three stored house with view on the Cinque Terre. It is a typical ligurian house. It is made up of a kitchen, two large double rooms with en-suite bathroom and shower, and one terrace per floor. The house is provided with heating, satellite TV, kitchen with oven, fridge and coffee maker. The apartment is equipped with dishes, hair dryer, sheets, towels and main goods (oil, salt, coffee etc).

Casa Franceschin is in Groppo, less than 1 km from Manarola, one of the villages of Cinque Terre. These five villages of the eastern side of Liguria give travellers the opportunity to enjoy a unique landscape, where man and nature live in harmony. The Cinque Terre became National Park and Unesco World Heritage in 1997 and are made up of five villages, separated by narrow rocky coves and surrounded by thousands of miles of dry stone terraced vineyards. The name Cinque Terre has been first given in the 15 th Century, but the villages' history dates back in time. Recent archaeological findings witness that men lived here thousands of years ago and some of the villages were founded in Roman times. The villages of Cinque Terre are made up of high, narrow tower-houses, which had the function of small fortresses, protecting the village from the sudden dangers coming from the sea. This house was even better than the ad suggested. The house itself was immaculate, newly refurbished, extremely comfortable and the 2 balconies had the best views I have ever seen with vineyards and olive trees in the foreground and the sea beyond, not a road in sight and totally peaceful. The tiny village of Groppo was delightful and the owner gave us a great welcome.
We are a family of 4 who would thoroughly recommend this faultless property to other families or couples wanting a taste of authentic Italy whilst being only a short bus ride (free if you buy a 5 terre pass) from Manorola and the 5 terre. We will definitely return again one day and hope to walk more of the beautiful coastal path when the weather is a little cooler.
