This 120 sqm Rome apartment has all its windows facing Vicolo della Penitenza, a quiet and narrow street in the heart of the ancient neighbourhood of Trastevere. Trastavere is one of the most ancient and characteristic parts of Rome and it was a popular district inhabited by artisans and small traders attracted by the proximity of the docks on the south of Tiber Island. All along the busy Viale di Trastevere, the side streets are packed with stalls and coster’s barrows beneath the watch of Madonnas lit up by small lanterns.
