In a superb, tranquil location, close to sandy beaches, Ty Hafod barn and cottages are only few minutes walk from the beautiful South Brittany coastal path. In a group of 4 former farm buildings around a courtyard, the houses are accessed up a driveway from a quiet no-through road. The grounds extend to over an acre and are bordered by trees and shrubs with a table tennis table and boules pitch - equipment provided. Close to the sea, the picturesque artists' town of Pont Aven, with its' excellent choice of restaurants and galleries and with easy access to Concarneau and Quimper. Ideal for both summer holiday rental or out of season breaks, the houses have electric heating and also effective wood-burning stoves, with logs provided free of charge. Client comments 'So attractive, comfortable and splendidly equipped.' Family friendly, with cots, stair gates and highchairs provided, the houses have modern furnishings, tiled floors downstairs and wood floors on the first floor.

There are a number of beautiful , safe beaches within a few kilometres drive, Questelan, Kerfany, Le Pouldu to name but a few. Further along the coast the beach at La Torche is popular with surfers. Sailing dingies and sea canoes may be hired at Port Mane'ch and there is a sailing school at nearby Rosbras. The coast is characterised by many picturesque harbours, which can be reached along the coastal path, a short walk from the properties. The area is excellent for walking and cycling and we provide details of a number of walks accessible from the houses. The beautiful artists' town of Pont Aven is only 4 km away with its' many galleries and shops to visit and a variety of places to eat, from simple pizzerias to gourmet restaurants. Only 2 km from the houses is the well-known seafood restaurant 'Chez Jacky.' There is easy access to the port of Concarneau and the historic town of Quimper. The town of Riec su Belon has many small shops, a good supermarket and a couple of restaurants.

  • There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor, which are accessed by a closed tread pine staircase from the living room. The 2 doubles are at either end of the spacious landing, with the 2 twins between. There are 2 cots for any babies in the party. Bedroom 5 is on the ground floor, quietly located to the rear of the property and is adjacent to the large shower room and cloakroom. This is often preferred by grandparents! It should be noted that there is a step down from the rear hallway to the kitchen/dining room and to the living room. Each bed has a duvet with protector, 2 standard pillows per person, mattress and pillow protectors. Please bring own bed linen, personal towels and beach towels. We provide bath mats and tea towels.

Notes: The washing machine is located in the useful utility room/ store room on the ground floor. Table tennis bats, boules and barbeque equipment are also stored here. Outside there are two tables with seating for 10, plus 4 reclining chairs. There is a large charcoal barbeque on the terrace at the rear of the property. To the front of the house is a lawned area and beyond the rear patio is access to over an acre of communal garden and the table tennis table and boules pitch. The property is heated by an effective wood burning stove in the living room, with logs provided and there are also electric radiators in each room.
