Relax at Dragonfly

We really enjoyed our time at Dragonfly Cottage. From the moment we arrived, at Crescent Lake, we were enchanted by its quiet beauty. Days spent there were so easy and relaxing. The cottage is charmingly outfitted with everything necessary to enjoy a lakeside retreat and always with the theme of dragonflies. We brought our nieces and they loved it too.
I loved waking up in the morning to the sun streaming in from the lake. Coffee and my camera drew me down to the dock for most of the morning. The water is so still that I could see the fish swim by. Then, after a good paddle or swim, we’d enjoy lunch on the patio and make plans for the afternoon’s adventure. If we needed just a few grocery items, we simply walked to the campground store, just up the lake, to buy ice cream, milk (local, in glass bottles), eggs, bread, beer and wine. Every night was a cookout and evenings were spent on the screened in porch facing the lake, lit by a hundred little dragonfly lights and candles as we sipped wine, listened to music, watched a movie or read a good book. Most nights, the loons would sing us to sleep with their hauntingly beautiful song that I will never forget.
Time at Dragonfly is everything you’ve heard about vacationing on a lake in Maine. We left, reluctantly, but relaxed and ready to jump back into our busy life.
