One bedroom in the heart of the city. This location can't be beat! On Spring and Mulberry Streets in Soho and Nolita! Where the most interesting and fun neighbourhoods all meet, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, the Lower East Side, and the East Village. Only a couple blocks from the West Village. The shops of Soho, the tree lined blocks and boutiques of Nolita and the East Village, the just opened New Museum (which has Bono and David Bowie on its board) is just blocks away, the bars of the Lower East Side, and the best restaurants in the city in the West Village! The subway is at your front door and most of the others are just a couple blocks away! This spot couldn't be easier or more centrally located!
Five floors up in an elevator building, newly renovated apartment with all new furniture and furnishings.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for over a week, and loved every minute of it. Sure, you can hear the noise from the street at times--it's New York! We didn't find the noise overwhelming, and we were there in the summer, so lots of people out and about. We found the apartment clean and well-appointed. Plenty of towels, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space for suitcases and stuff. The location is fantastic, steps away from everything including great cafes, restaurants, the subway, shops, grocery stores, etc. Ken was great to deal with and I would definitely rent from him again. Two thumbs up from us!

Tourists without a Car,
Families with Teenagers,
This was a lovely spacious apartment - clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. It is a nice location and although you can hear some street noise it is what you would expect from an apartment in a lovely part of New York. Local Spring Street station literally next door, and for a quicker service it is just a short walk away. Everything was as advertised and the owner responded promptly to any email queries about the property. Collection of keys was simple was straightforward. I would definitely recommend this property to others and because of the owner's efficiency and promptness to reply, it made the whole process stress free.
We are a family of four (two teenage children) and we stayed for 8 days on our first trip to New York. We absolutely loved this apartment and will definitely stay here again when we come back.
* The best thing is definitely it's location. We really felt like New Yorkers staying here. Also, felt very safe. The subway is at your doorstep. Great shopping close by. Supermarket is close. Also loved Dean and DeLuca just around the corner - great coffee. * The apartment was super clean. First thing I noticed, how clean it was. Lots of storage for all our clothes and luggage. * Kitchen had everything you could need. I cooked a few meals (even a roast!) and it was well stocked. A nice touch was the small things.... salt, pepper, oil, dishwashing liquids, soaps, etc was all supplied. Plenty of dishes and well stocked for the four of us. * Apartment was spacious. The bathroom was also a good size and looked like it had recently been refurbished. * I actually found the bed comfortable. No issues at all. The pull out sofa was a bit lumpy but fine for the kids. Well stocked with blankets and towels. * Great internet and choice of movies.
We actually could not fault this apartment. Yes it was noisy at times but it is New York and we just used ear plugs. Would not deter us from staying here again.
We loved it and we felt at home.
Communication with Owner was easy, they were very helpful and responded very quickly to any queries or concerns...
Great Stay. Great value for money. Highly recommend.
My wife, baby daughter and i spent 2.5 weeks in this apartment. The location is the best thing about it. Being in the best part of NYC in our opinion, you will have some of the best restaurant’s, bars and shops at your doorstep and the subway literally outside the door. Unfortunately the apartment did have it’s negatives too.
The bedroom is on the street side 5 floors up so the traffic noise is pretty loud. Car horns all night as it’s near busy intersection and super noisy when the bars close with people leaving yelling with their drunk shenanigans, but hey this is NYC.
The bed in the main bedroom would be the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in, not great for a long stay but might be ok for a short one. I had a sore back for the whole stay that was miraculously healed the night after leaving. Definitely time for a new mattress! The couch (a sofa bed) too was extremely uncomfortable, not good for chilling on at length after a day of pounding the pavement.
The apartment is advertised as having Cable, but be warned this is a Roku player that has pre programmed repeat shows from a few channels that the owner subscribes to. Only one of the channels worked for our entire stay which was full of old movies and extremely lame. There are no “cable” channels hooked up - as this was our 6th trip to nyc and we had come here to have a break from our stressful work lives, and we were spending a lot of time in the apartment, so this was quite unfortunate and all we had to watch was the crappy digital free to air tv.
The apartment could do with new pots and pans for cooking if you plan on doing this. A pot of boiling water nearly fell on my bare foot when the rusted handle snapped clean off one night!
On a good note, internet service was fast and reliable, apartment was a good size, clean and felt safe and there was a brand new pack n play for our 10 month old girl. There was a reliable elevator too. The owner was prompt at replying to emails, but seemed a little off hand-ish and argumentative when there was a problem with anything eg “lack of advertised cable”.
We are seasoned travelers who own rental properties ourselves so we might be a tad picky about certain things, but hey, when paying for something is it wrong to expect any less than what is advertised??
We probably would not stay here again, but for the money, you could do a lot worse....

People with Disabilities
Owner's Response: Well, these people weren't happy :) I wish they were as nice in person as they were in this review, if so we could have fixed some of these problems easily. Its a bad review, so you can take it to heart or you can look at my other reviews, or look at the reviews on my VRBO page, which are all wonderful reviews.
The apartment can hear street noise on occasional weekend nights, its why we've installed a theatre curtain in the bedroom. It works great for most people, some people need quieter. Soho is the most exciting neighborhood in NYC, the city that never sleeps, there are quieter parts of the city, try upper West or East sides if that's what you are looking for.
The bed mattress is a year old. The sofa is 6 months old. Unfortunately its like Goldilocks, some will say too hard, some too soft, we try our best!
The tv issue could have easily been fixed if they let me stop by, they weren't turning it on correctly. We have all the network channels and the Roku box has Hulu, which has most current series, HBO, and Netflix, which has thousands of movies. Our old cable system had about 30 channels, we upgraded to this to try to please more people.
When anything in the apartment breaks, we replace it. Unfortunately my crystal ball was in the cleaners or i would have known a pot handle was going to break. I would have replaced it if they let me stop by.
We loved *everything* about this apartment. It is clean. It is spacious. It has lots of extra pillows, blankets, full kitchen, good tv (maybe expand selection of channels in future?). It is quiet! Apartment is bright (faces north). Great wifi.
We got so spoiled by the neighborhood (shops on Mulberry, Mott; restaurants on Mulberry, Mott . . . Emporio, Parm, Balaboosta, The Grey Dog; and Balthazar). It was great fun to walk to West Broadway or NoHo or West Village. Forget about going uptown, not even necessary! What an awesome neighborhood. After a while we were totally satisfied just to stay in our very cool 2 block radius. We'll be back!

Owner's Response: Hi, wonderful guests! Next time i'll make sure that they see that we have the main networks on input 1, but we also have a Roku player on the second input, it has hundreds of channels as well as a Neftlix instant streaming account with unlimited downloading of tv shows and movies.
We stayed in this apartment for one week with our two adult kids.
It was clean, well equipped - it even has a kettle - and spacious enough for 4.
The location is fantastic. We felt as though we were in the heart of Manhattan, surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants all busy and vibrant. That said, however, we didn't find the apartment to be overly noisy at night. A brilliant location for our young.
The subway is virtually next door which is great.
Ken is friendly and efficient and was there to greet us on our arrival.
I would highly recommend this apartment and would love to return once I have saved enough money!
