If you are looking for peace and quiet, away from the city crowds, this is a wonderful retreat. Only 8 miles from the quaint harbor town of Elk Rapids and 30 minutes to either Traverse City or Charlevoix, this retreat is the best of both worlds.
Restaurants, shopping, boating, marinas (access to Grand Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan, Torch Lake and Elk Lake), golf courses, movie theatres and more are all within a 5 – 10 minute drive. However, if swimming in the Bay, relaxing on the beach, the deck or in a screened in porch, grilling outside and enjoying the beauty of one of Michigan’s turquoise great lakes, this vacation retreat offers something for all ages! In addition, both Old Mission and Leelanau Peninsulas house numerous wineries for touring, sampling and purchasing of Michigan made products.
The cottage sits on 120 ft. of Grand Traverse lakefront and is surrounded by woods for that serene ‘up-north’ feeling. It is truly a wonderful get-away for your family. Beach fires under the stars is an added plus.
The main floor is equipped with 2 bedrooms, one with a private deck attached, kitchen, living room, dining area, 2 baths and laundry area. Enjoy the screened in porch and another deck perfect for that afternoon siesta! The upstairs loft has another private bedroom and an open area that sleeps three additional people. The kitchen is completely furnished for all cooking needs and a gas grill located outside for that family bar-b-que.
All linens are included except for beach towels.
