We are a busy family with five children all of whom ski on the local race team at Suicide Six in Woodstock. We live in Masaachusetts the rest of the year. I am originally a Brit from London and my husband is from Boston. Our house is my lovely retreat and I hope you enjoy it. With our children growing up we use the house less and less so would love to rent it for the ski season coming up...

We fell in love with Ascutney 12 years ago on a ski trip there. Since then all five of our children have grown up racing for both Ascutmey mountain and Suicide Six in Woodstock and loving the outdoors.

Of course we love to ski all the mountains nearby including Ascutney, Suicide, Killington, Pico, Okeemo and Quechee. Each one is no further than a 45 min drive some are only 5 minutes! We also love mountain biking, horseback riding and swimming in the swim hole. No one is ever there and it feels like your own piece of paradise. I love to walk my dogs ans snow shoe the trails with friends amd My husband loves to play a quiet round of rustic four hole golf with my sons in the evening while we sit and watch on the deck and count fire flies. Its a lovely peaceful area with sunrises second to none.

Wonderful Weekend

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this rental for a fall getaway weekend in September. The rental was perfect for our family of five. It was very welcoming, clean, and had everything we needed. It was perfectly located with Woodstock close by for dining, shopping and golf, and several mountains nearby for hiking. The owners were wonderful to deal with and easily accessible. Our family will definetly be coming back and I have recommended this rental to all my friends. We loved it!

allowed us to reconnect

  • 5 of 5
The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the private location and especially enjoyed the little pond at end of drive that we spent hours playing hockey with the teens.
Owner was great to work with, gave us tons of advice and really good recommendations for places to eat.
Woodstock is a must see - all charm of New England in one beautiful town.

Lovely setting / great views / beautiful autumn

  • 5 of 5
I rented this property for a month during the fall with friends. We love to travel and came from the UK as my daughter knew the owners, one of them is British. We loved the house, it was exactly as described. Very clean and much bigger on the inside than you expect. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sun come up over the mountain in the morning. Great restaurants and touristy stuff to do nearby, especially recommend Melaza restaurant in woodstock which was a great treat. Watching the glass blowing was fun. Walking and hiking right from the front door was lovely. We will definitely be back and will bring our grand children as the swim hole/small lake was such a treat right at the end of the driveway. The autumn colors were spectacular right from the deck...

Fantastic hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5
My family and I stayed at the house end of September. The leaves just start to turn colors and it was beautiful! As we drove down the road we saw the quaint cottage. Inside blew us away. Extremely clean and very well maintained and so much bigger than it looked like from the outside. We enjoyed coffee at sunrise and having a spectacular view of mt. Ascutney. At nights we enjoyed cocktails on the deck and took in the gorgeous view. My husband played some golf at the 4 hole golf course. Very conveniently located. We were able to easily drive to the quaint town of Woodstock as well as took a day trip to see mt. Okemo as well and spend some time shopping in Ludlow. The owners we so nice and easy to deal with.
