Cliff Palermo purchased this apartment in 2012

What a great rental experience. This was a last minute rental and it was super easy and flexible to make happen in the midst of getting set up for a convention. The unit was well equipped clean, comfortable and ready to go. Location is great, restaurants, grocery store, and metro all real close. We will definitely be looking to do this again next year when we return.
the proximity to the mall/white house/monuments is perfect, you dont need a car and the metro is extremely close. the location is near a whole foods (we walked over to get groceries for the week), coffee/starbucks, and we walked around at night and it was completely safe. wife was pleasantly surprised to find a hair dryer, plenty of towels and the kitchen is full of glassware/dishes/everything you would need. the wifi is fast and the cable tv was a nice plus (beats watching the hotel tv commercials over and over again). now a word about the owners of this condo...they are amazing. they respond quickly to emails, they offer fair prices and they were MORE than accommodating when i asked for adjustments to the check in and check out time. the are polite, to the point and considerate.
We stayed here for 4 night. The condo was clean and had all the amenities that we needed. It was a couple of blocks away from a metro stop, and directly across the street from a bike share location. The location was excellent.
We stayed here with our two teenage sons and it was perfect for us. The accommodations were exceptionally clean. The location was very convenient to everything. We didn't drive anywhere. Only recommendation would be to read parking signs as we did not move our vehicle during street cleaning day and we had a ticket. We learned to read ALL the signs attached to the post. Other than that...a great week!
I rented this apartment based on terrific reviews and they were largely well represented. The one thing I found disconcerting is how close this apartment is to a lower income housing area (about a block). The only real negative is that the closest grocery is in that block. We went to the grocery once and thereafter ate out. Heading back towards town the neighborhood was fine - no criminal elements or concerns for our safety.
The metro is about 4 blocks away so we used that and traveled by foot for most of our trip. We ended up renting a car for some trips to outer areas not well served by transit.
There are 2 "bedrooms" and 3 beds total. There are no doors though - it's set up much like a shotgun house. The bedrooms have curtains separating them - fine for a family or close friends but if you want privacy - it's not great there.
The kitchen was well stocked for the incidental meals there and the accommodations were modern. It could use a few more sophisticated paintings or prints on the wall. It appears that children's drawings are the decoration but other that hat, it was fine.
Awesome price. Walking distance to the Smithsonian and all of the Monuments. Transportation is all in walking distance is you would prefer. Supermarket 1 block away and lots of great eateries. Great eclectic safe neighborhood with beautiful architecture everywhere. Extremely well stocked rooms and Kitchen. Absolutely loved my time here. Will come back... Thank you.
