Vacation right on the beach in this 1 bedroom/1bath condo that has the best oceanfront views in the entire Pono Kai Resort complex. The Pacific Ocean is right outside! Have refreshments on the lanai (patio) while enjoying the breath taking ocean views, smelling the fresh salt air, and feeling the refreshing ocean breezes......Watch surfers, kite surfers, ocean traffic, even whales and dolphins from your beach vacation condo!

Pono Kai Resort: The condo is within the beautiful Pono Kai Resort which is along the Coconut Coast of Kauai, in Kapaa Town. Pono Kai is on 12 acres of manicured tropical grounds You know you have arrived in PARADISE when you walk through the resort and see the lush tropical plantings, the enchanting koi pond, and the many tall coco palms. The resort features a large and beautiful swimming pool, tennis courts, an activities desk and a 24-hour front desk as well as the other amenities that are listed. Island restaurants and shopping are within walking distance of your beach vacation condo. Free parking is just outside your building.

Kapaa Town: The Pono Kai resort is in historic Kapaa Town on the east side of Kauai island. Located just eight miles from the Lihue airport, Kapaa is a laid back island community that is perfectly located as a base for your exploration of the island PARADISE that is Kauai. Kapaa has many restaurants and quaint island shops which are within easy walking distance of your beach vacation condo. The East Shore of Kauai enjoys better weather than the North Shore (Princeville) and is not as remote as the South Shore (Poipu). You'll love Kapaa's convenient, central location as your springboard to your own Kauai Island sightseeing adventure!

Beach Vacation Condo: The 1 bedroom/1 bath condo is on the 3rd (top) floor of the elevator equipped building. Being on the top floor affords more privacy, less noise and absolutely fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean and beach just outside the condo. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a full size sofa-bed in the living room. The condo sleeps up to 4 guests. Tastefully decorated in an island nautical theme, the condo is very well maintained by it's mainland owner who visits 3-4 times a year. A fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, makes it easy for those guests who want to do their own cooking. The kitchen was new in April 2012, including new cabinets, granite countertops, and most applicances. While the condo is not air conditioned (normal for privately owned residences on Kauai) the ocean breezes and the overhead fans keep the condo comfortable both day and night, all year round. You'll love your tropical island vacation at this beach vacation condo!

About Craig Dunn

I purchased this condo in 1999 because Kauai is my favorite place in the entire world. I try to visit 3-4 times a year to enoy Kauai and assure that my condo is in pristine condition for my guests. It is my goal to surprise and delight my guest by providing a clean and comfortable environment to stay in during their Kauai adventure.

While you never have to leave the resort and Kapaa for a relaxing beach vacation, it is recommended that you rent a car and explore the island to create your memories of a true South Pacific adventure!

    No refunds of rental charges or deposits will be granted for cancellations within thirty (30) days of arrival date. Any cleaning fees paid WILL be refunded.

Enjoyed our stay here - great location on the ocean. We could walk to groceries, good restaurants and other shopping. The bike path was just outside our building and bikes were easy to rent & cheap. Nice bike path all the way to Donkey Beach. Lots of whale waching right from the lanai. The condo was very comfortable. We did have 4 stay & the pull out couch wasn't the most comfortable. We bought some extra foam to put on top and that made a big improvement.

Great condo and location !

It is always a challenge choosing accommodation for first time visits to anywhere, but we were very lucky with this one. This was our first visit to the beautiful island of Kauai and we were basically looking around the island and trying to get a feel for where we would like to stay on return visits. The town of Kapaa was very charming; the people very laid-back and friendly. It had everything we needed within walking distance. You will want a car though to take in the beauty of the whole island.
The condo itself was charming with a beautiful view of the ocean. It is very well appointed and we lacked for nothing. It is a large one- bedroom by Hawaii standards and it is obviously loved by its owner who was a pleasure to deal with. The resort is also very well equipped with lovely grounds and the resort staff very helpful but non intrusive.
The town of Kapaa has a wonderful selection of natural and organic foods and the many farmers markets on the island are a wonderful bonus.
I would definitely recommend this accommodation ; in fact have already booked again for next year.

This is a wonderful, recently updated, condo with a spectacular ocean view. The decorations and furniture are perfectly suited to a vacation rental. The bed is very comfortable. The owner makes you feel very welcome and takes obvious pride in his property. Overall highly recommended.

This was our first vist to Kauai and this condo was perfect for us. It was very well maintained and had everything we needed. The location was perfect - walking distance to restaurants and shops. We loved sitting on the lanai after touring the island all day. The owner (Craig) was great about providing us tips and recommendations before we arrived. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends.

What a Great vacation!

Our first time to Kaua'i and we loved every minute of it. This condo was in a perfect location, clean and well maintained, and the best part is that it is right on the beach.
You couldn't ask to be any closer. We went on a tight budget because of things that had happened right before our trip but still managed to have a great time. We walked to the stores and bought food. We rented bikes and had a great time riding all over the place. Shops started right on the next block. We took in some nearby hikes and even found some places that had absolutely no tourist...Everything was perfect from beginning to end. We found the people of Kaua'i to be very friendly everywhere we went. And another plus is that this condo was close to the airport. Could not have asked for a better vacation.....Thank you Craig for sharing your condo.
